A standard LEGO Episode II Jedi Starfighter given a complete overhaul.
About this creation
After seeing a ton of OVERSIZED Jedi Starfighters on MOCpages, I decided to finally correct my own Jedi Starfighter of that scale problem. I also added landing gear from my old version.
Heres a back shot
This nose view is very popular for the Delta-7
Here;s the back. I moved the engines inward by a stud to make them more accurate. The landing gear is strong enough to hold the starfighter above the ground.
From this view you can see the front and back landing gear. The front one folds up pretty nicely, but I can't seem to find a way to make the back pair do the same...
I got the profile for the ship right on. You can also see that the ship has a total length of 24 studs, compared to the whopping 34 studs on the official set.
Here's a view from the cockpit to the nose; as if you were at the helm of the ship.
After watching Star Wars: Episode II, I noticed that the astro-droid Obi-Wan has was solid maroon, not white with maroon. So I corrected that inaccuracy.
The cockpit IS big enough for a minifig with a hood.
After much experementation, I decided to do a fairly basic tail.
I wasn't that forgetful to make the laser cannons DUAL. You can sorta see the laser cannons underneath the hull.
note: the building instructions show the colors reversed (red is white, and white is red) and it DOES NOT include the windshield (you'll probably know where that goes)

It looks really flat, but it is well designed, and the back part is nicely built. |

It is good but it looks kinda... flat- lego ones are oversized that's true but this looks pretty simple- well it is not bad- 3 smiles :) :) :) |

Nice job, looks pretty great but isn't it supposed to have the wings go a little down oblique? Not sure if that's only Clone Wars, been a long time since I've seen epII. 5/5
By the way, could you please check out my newest MOC? http://mocpages.com/moc.php/153032 |

The wings should be at a little bit of an angle. The scale is perfect tough. |

Sweet! Alot better than the set, and interesting landing gear! My only suggestion would be, like Moodswim said, is to slant the sides slightly =) |

Great work, I like your creativity, not to mention the fact that this is a real custom, not some "mod" officials that a lot of builder upload (and of course they say: why not anybody comment it??) so really well done man! I like the official republic embleme on the front and the R2 unit! BTW have you seen my newest mocs? Could you please take a look at them? Thanks! |
