Unmanned Fast Attack Drone (UFAD - VR) Veloci-Raptor Drone is a Light Mech variant with AI. The Raptor program was started during the tri-wars due to the short availability of trained Mech Pilots. The Raptor Drones proved extremely effective in battle. Although the Raptors came late in the wars, we attributed the rather quick cease-fire to the drones. During the treaty of surrender the Enemy forces included the withdraw of the Raptor Drones from mass populated cities until the AI could be rewrote, making them less prone to attack civilians. The reply was, that we would withdraw the Raptors to the outskirts of the mega-metropolises only and could call them when forces feel threatened. The UFAD-01 is a modular weapons platform. The Veloci-Raptor has short-range weapons to reduce weight, to increase speed and agility. Included on the VR is the 120mm Short-Range Multi-barrel (SRMB-7) minigun: the SRMB is the same weapon as the MRMB-6 just shorter barrels, the 230mm Short-Range Sabot weapon (SRS-2) capable of punching holes in medium armored vehicles while causing serious damage to interior and occupants, twin 230mm Gernade launchers mounted under the torso, and an auto jettison missile launch platform with Long-range Surface to Air (LRSA-160) Porcupine Missiles.
