Version 3 of the Gallofree GKR TwinSun medium multi-role freighter. Approximately the same size and cargo capacity as a Corellian Engineering Corporation's YT-1300 (Millennium Falcon) but a significantly wider profie
About this creation
Welcome all,
Quality of the photos is less than exciting I know. final build will have better lighting and placement. I might even green screen it :)
The above shot shows the top gunner station (currently occupied) and the offset quad-cannon. While at rest, the quad cannons face in a forward position for pilot operation. The gunner station and the quad cannons are actually linked together so that they move collectively. I have some video of this. will try to get it posted
Angle shot showing secondary piloting station (center) and the new front for the detachable freight module. This module could actually be used as a freight shuttle, to collect and deliver after arrival at port.
Side profile shot. the fish-eye aspect ratio makes the side piloting/command/gunnery module look a lot bigger than it is, but I like the swoop down appearance the module and freight pod give this from this side.
Back view showing all the new armor plating. pretty much the entire covering from the front section to the engine cooling intakes is new.
Speaking of armor plating, I made sure many of these sections were removable for easy access. The below video demonstrates that in action:
Close up showing how things fit together. Took days to get all these insane angles to match up as closely as this, and I still feel I've got work to do. Also, these panels are all removable pretty easily, so I can get inside with little or no difficulty to um, move things around...
Just another forward angle shot. I like the way this one shows off the gently sloping front.
Booster module profile. again, the fish-eye aspect ratio makes this booster look HUGE in comparison.
Back angle shot showing the engines and the back side of the piloting/command/gunnery module.
Angle shot showing a top down view of the armor plating showing the main corridor to the Piloting/Gunnery/Command module.
Close up on the points where the armor plating meets other spots. This was nigh on impossible to fit together. Two days of work lost here, but worth every second...
Opposite side back view. That bubble is actually the freight loading hatch. Doubling as a speeder bike launching port. I can't wait to get started on that part.
Freight loading hatch is open.
Close up uf the freight loading port and I think the only interior shot this time. I have plans on doing a couple of shout-outs to some other very well done freighters in this spot here.
Birds eye view. This thing is HUGE.
That's it for now. I'm sure I'll like to the others (V1 and V2)and I might include some interior shots of the command module I took for another ship that ties into this.
Hope you enjoy

the roof is very clever and every thing but you might want to create an easier way to get to the inside.
hah! You think as i do. already done actually. I have now two entry ramps, and I can't believe how smokin number two is. can't find a day with both time and sufficient sunlight to get shots done though :(
My god! I would love to have a set like this! What a beautiful creation. I love the detail you put into this. Where did you get the idea? Awesome just awesome!

oh Wow ... that's an Awesome Ship ! ... and i like those you-tube video's you added ... btw, nice interior !
Much thanks! almost all of the work i have been doing lately is on interior, most of it on one 16x9 section which got added in just before I took these shots. While I can't wait to post the new stuff, I'll probably wait till i've got a few of the other changes ready to go too. oh, and congratulations on MOTD. very well deserved
This is awesome on so many levels! I agree with Steef, the turret+gunner is really interesting, and I think I have a pretty good idea of how you did it.... this sure beats the freighter I've been trying to make, especially in size -_-;;

Wow- everything rocks! The size, the techniques, the gun turret... Great job! -Danny Ps: If you can, could you post te technique you used for the quad-turret? Thanks!
Hi Danny, Built up a little moc-up (hah! get it? moc-up?) of the gunnery thing, but I've not had a chance to get the pictures posted. I'll do that probably tonight. Thanks for the comment

Not a bad Idea... I'll see if I can whip something up this evening. Thanks for the comment too!

Awesome! I like the docking feet and the overall shape is very cool. The cockpits are nice and the color scheme is also very good. Do you think you could check this out? http://mocpages.com/moc.php/124803
