Templum Ignoti
Hidden deep within a wild fantastic Jungle lies a Temple, since long forgotten by men...
About this creation
First of all, this is how I did the main picture, on my previous portalis mocs some people seemed to think I used photoshop, I didn't,
I chose the right angle and took a picture, it's that simple.

this could be my biggest moc ever, a Temple landscape, enjoy

Some of you might have already noticed this moc has the same name as my homepage,
I knew I was going to build this since long but I didn't have enough bricks nor skills
but now I accomplished my goal :)

A wallsegment with the typical pattern lies half underwater

There are a lot of fragments laying around, this place was a great city a long time ago. The temple itself somehow remained very intact, as if there is some mysterious power at work...

The place is infested with crocodiles, snakes and other reptiles.

The temple isn't overgrown with plants, It looks like time stopped here, (unless there is an obsessive gardener passing by every day)

The entrance of the Temple is a heavy locked door. To open it a long slide stone has to be pulled out.

door closed

door open

slidestone lowered. If you have some insight in things and you look at the hinges of the doors you see that the door can't be opened when the slidestone is down (and the door is closed)

one side closed and slidestone down. the right door cannot be opened unless I draw out the slidestone.

Some sort of pedestal, one is supposed to place the Key on it to open the door.

The niches of the Temple are filled with skeletons from a lost civilization.

The Portal is closed, it used to be a portal between two worlds...

The Portal is closed, I'm out of inspiration, I hope you liked it...
or maybe it isn't, anyway, I don't have any idea for a next one, this one actually isn't complete since I scrapped the adventure part.
my idea was that an group of knights set sail to search for the portal and tried to keep it out of the greedy hands of the Church, the temple would have been infested with boobytraps and mysteries for the knights to solve, I even made a new two masts sailing ship for taking the knights to their destination.
who knows, I might just continue the story.

please check out the rest of my portal mocs;

Quoting corey lopez The detail in this is quite good. I like your waterfalls and the stone guardian statues have alot of thought put into them. This may sound odd but do you have any advice on making beaches, the one in this moc looks so natural and mine are rather blocky.
Well, I used a specific type of piece on the beaches, the curved tan plates, but by using a lot of small tan plates (particulary 2x1 plates are useful) you can create a natural sight, it works as long as you don't take a too close look. But I must say I'm not very pleased with the beaches in this moc because the river and ground are at the same level, it would have been better if I had made a relief

Quoting zack the lego maniac how can you open the portal in this temple and watt happened to the key after that guy drop`t it in the black water .are you going to finish the story with the scuba diver and the portal.if this was a movie it would be one of the best.
each portal has its key, the key can be used to reveal, open or activate its portal, after that the key disappears. I'm working on something that will create a link between portals once again, but it takes time

Wow, I am amazed. I would have been speechless, except that I can't praise you if I can't talk. First of all, the main picture had me quite amazed with it's perfect perspective. The second thing I noticed was your use of curved parts for the sand on the shore. You just had to go and show people that Legos don't always have to have right angles. Third, I saw the wall piece sticking up out of the water and the waterfall in the background. That really floored me, and there was still a whole lot more to come. The amazing number of graceful arches, your use of parts in colors I have very few of, the long hallway, the multi-level design with the water, the gorgeuos dark brown tree, your trans-blue waterfalls, stone giants... Each and every one of these marvels further destroyed my composure, leaving me as I am now: green with envy. One of the best MOC's I've ever seen. (And I've seen some bloody good ones.) Oh, by the way, CHECK OUT MY MOCS PLZ!!!!1!!11!! (But, Mom, everyone else is saying it!)
