Barrett 98 Bravo
My biggest and most realistic gun yet! It's life-size, the bolt works and has a removable magazine. Video!
About this creation

The magazine release is a modified version of my old one. It works very well.

Magazine removed.

The round. .338 Lapua Mag

The bolt

Bolt retracted.

The handle. My best one yet! It's very sturdy.

The stock.

Front detail.

The barrel. It holds well. Doesn't bend at all.

The scope. I'm not too happy with it. But, it was the best I could do with the limited pieces I had after the gun was built.

Looking down the scope. There was no way to make it hollow. I made a screen though!

The gun without the scope.

The gun next to the full-size printout.

The gun on the printout.

Commentary:
This thing ate up all of my slopes! I'm lucky I had enough for the scope. I really wanted this gun to shoot, but there wasn't enough room between the bolt, handle and mag release. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

If you liked it why don't you comment? I'd love to hear what you have to say! Also, if I missed something, please tell me here.

Wow this is awesome! First off, I like how you made the cheek rest so that it looks like its bolted on to the gun. I also like how you made the tactical rail on the main body of the gun. The clip is really cool with the bullet inside of it. I like how the clip locks in too. I've been trying to figure out how to do that. If you could check out some of my stuff that'd be awesome.

Quoting Sam Butler $$$$$ i bet if Lego allowed lego guns to be build i bet they would pay about $300 for the instructions for this. i mean if you were to price check this on Lego Digital Designer the price would be $250 plus. good job, one of the best snipers i've ever seen. :) almost better than my lego 50 cal naa joking yours is probably better, i dont even have any black pieces to make mine.
Yeah, it would be expensive wouldn't it?

The problem with the barrel is that the M98 uses .338 Lapua Magnum rounds, making the barrel larger than 2x2 round bricks and smaller than what I did for my M82A1. I wonder if there is another way to shape the barrel...have much in the way of 1x2 plates with 1-stud?

This is so realistic looking. I thought the main picture was the real Barrett when I took a glance, but then I looked at it again, it was made of legos. You really done a awesome job on the stock and the handle. Too bad it couldn't fire, even though its still amazing without that. Great work Chas. ~ Ghostman :)

Quoting Dylan B Are you trying to kick me off my gun-building throne? I'm stunned Chas, beautiful work! The mag, the stock, the barrel, all perfect! With a few minor flaws like some shaping in certain areas like the barrel and scope it still is an awesome weapon. Great work!-Dylan
I don't like the scope either. But, what could I do? The gun was my main priority for the pieces. Lego doesn't make a round piece big enough for the barrel, so it had to be squarish.

Overall i can´t suggest anything and dont worry because your scope it is awesome too!!! I can remember when you only had some parts of it like the handle it turned out an incredible replica! =)
