I was tired of all the Lego set nock-offs that are around this site, so I decided to make a better verision useing my own ideas and techniques. I escaped the suckish LEGO BARC mentality rather well. enough of my rant, onto the MOC.
EDIT: Ok, I didn't think I would have to do this, but I'm going to Explain why the legs are how they are. Ok, here goes...
In the Star Wars Movies, BARC Speeders Made the Clone commanders sit in a Relaxed position, With their leds spread and hanging over the edge of the speeder.
When replicateing this in Lego, Guess what I found out? LEGO Minifigure legs don't spread or bend at the knees. So, I startded to redesign the Speeder so that the leg position would look more realistic. Thus, I used Arms as legs on purpose to make the MOC look more like a real BARC Speeder. (Which is not BLOCKY OR CHUNCKY In any way, what so ever. (*Ehhem* 99 Percent of the people who made BARC SPEEDERS!) I didn't want to explain it, but some people Appearently didn't understand....
That is all. (Because Most of the people who will Write: "Duh, Dah legz looks funneh, because the legs is n ot legs. They's arms." Woun't even read this discription...

Very good job on it, the greeblies are good and it is 1000x better than LEGO's (which I have, BTW). I like the handlebars and all of the immense detail. The color is accurate to the movie, so it's an awesome MOC. The only thing I would make better is to make the seat compatible with real LEGO legs. Great job :) |

You never fail to Impress Jonathan! Great work on this! I love hoe it's not 1% blocky the front really is impressive and the clone trooper idea with the legs is a little weird in a way. The Photos look really good too. Nice work! Oh, and that reminds me, I have to to work on a b-day moc for you. :D |

Nice use of the lego arms for legs. |
|
|
To be honest this does not look like a BARC Speeder, I mean the shape is too flat and not enough details. And if you are that kind of person that would say "Let's see you do better", well I am already working on it. But it would be an excellent regular speeder but not just a BARC Speeder |

Oh, wow, Jonathan. This is awesome! I just searched "BARC speeder" to look at what you meant by all the 'knock offs', and you're completely right! They all look like the one that came from the ep. III Clone turbo tank. Even the really good ones still just looked like they came out of a Lego set! So, congrats on making this look original! Very interesting design on the seat. Although, I don't see how the trooper attaches. Or does he even? Or is he just sitting there? Great idea for the trooper's legs, too! He may be lacking some feet, but it looks great for a sitting position! ~ James :D P.S. I better get crackin' on a birthday MOC! |

Wow Jonathan this is so good. You must break down a lot of normal sets or lots of left over pieces, because what i can see is almost only tiny pieces! but great job once again and the use of arms as legs is kinda wierd but a really nice techinque! Hey! and gueass whats coming up? thats right your birthday! I'm getting started on a birthday MOC right now! |

Ya!! Very nice!! I don't think it looks that much like the one in Battlefront II, but this rocks!! Here's a question. What do you use as your background? Paper, or what? Cuz everyone makes it so dang white in the background, and even when I use a white shirt, it looks weird. |
