As a LEGO Certified Professional, I mainly commercialize mosaics: studs up our out, Black and White or Full Colour, small or large: you name it. The largest one so far is this LEGO cow, measuring 2m x2m. It was made for an event called "Mechelen Speelstad" (Malines, City of Toys) in May 2009. About this creation
I've always been intrigued by this picture of Albert Einstein. And in stead of using classical black and white, I went for brown and tan.
This one measures about 40x60cm. The girl is no professional model, as one might suspect. Her mother was just so proud of er daughter, that she commissioned me to build her daughter in mosaic.
When Jamie Lidell came to a TV show in Belgium, I was asked (just two days on beforehand) to make him a LEGO gift. Apparently Jamie is kind of crazy about LEGO just as much as I am.
I celebrated my 40th birthday with a huge theater show in Antwerp. Many other celebreties joined the show. We sang together, did sketches togeteher, and so on. In stead of giving them a bunch of flowers after their act, I gave them their head in LEGO mosaic (one base plate, studs out)
"Kiekeboe" is the most popular comic strip in Flanders. Its author, "Merho", has become a friend. When he celebrated his 60th birthday, I made him this 80x60 (studs up) mosaic. Quite a tricky one, as I needed both vertical and horizontal detail...

If someone would commission this kind of mosaic to me, they would pay something between 3000 and 4000 Euro's (yes, I'm in Europe)

those r all great, but that COW, WOW, i love this, i know u must hear this alot but u have the coolest job ever, ive always hoped 2 some day get a job wit LEGO some how. |
