About this creation
This is my virtual LEGO rendition of a vehicle-mounted M60 General-Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG).

*DESIGN NOTES*
While I was making this MOC, I decided to search MOCpages for other MOCs by the same name. My suspicions were reaffirmed when I saw the scarce amount of search results matching “M60” or even “M-60”. I continued my construction of this MOC, knowing that I was finally doing LEGO justice to a device that has reliably served to U.S. Military for decades.

* As usual, the program I used to build this is LeoCAD.

I then converted it to an .ldr file and rendered it with LDView.

For info on contacting me about permission to use the design or obtaining a copy of the 3D file I made, see my homepage.

Quoting Quinn Barbeau oooo, nice. But isn't it a bit big?
Thank you! :) I just went into LeoCAD and compared it to a standard minifig, and the conclusion is this: While it is an acceptable size for a minifig to operate, there's no way that Mr. Minifig could carry it around by himself. Also, to fire it, he'd have to be standing on a platform that was elevated slightly above the pivot hinge.

Only Rambo could shoulder this thing! Something feels weird about this for some reason.

ok, sorry, I didn't know you have no legos. sorry. I guess if this is your specialty then you should keep on doing it.

Quoting Cody Carrigan you know, this is nice and all, but I want to see some real creations from you. all this digital stuff is starting to get kinda boring.
And another thing: Digital LEGO creations are my specialty - it's what I do, and I try my best to do it well. To put it another way, I'm not going to go to Professor Eggplant (who makes amazing LEGO castles) and tell him that castles are "yesterday's news", and that he should try Bionicle instead.

As much as I'd like to make that happen, two major obstacles stand in my way: 1) I have no access to a digital camera. 2) I have no real LEGOs anymore (sad but true). Besides, I like my virtual LEGO stuff - it allows me to make what I want without regard to shortage of particular pieces. Also, I wish to inform you that simply because I use a CAD-program medium, my MOCs are no less of a "creation" than plastic-block stuff. I still put time, skill, and creative effort into building this stuff.

1) It's not meant to be "shouldered", but mounted on a vehicle. 2) Weird? In what way?
