Here it is, the second best ship in the line of borderworld fighters - the "Stiletto" as seen in the game Freelancer.
About this creation
Men and women of action need a ship that can deliver all of the speed, resilience and firepower available. The "Stiletto" answers the call by combining exceptional weapon support, reinforced cargo space and the maximum armor rating in its class. The result is a ship that is the only true option for success and survival in the Border Worlds.
* Gun/Turret Mounts: 6/0
* Armor: 4900
* Cargo Space: 45
* Max Batteries/NanoBots: 33
* Optimal Weapon Class: 5
* Max. Weapon Class: 7
* Additional Equipment: M, CM, CD / T
* Price: 143,100 credits
* Level Req. 20
* Sold at: Bruchsal Base, Frankfrut System, Rheinland Space
This is a step up from the Dragon and Barracuda heavy fighter. Despite inferior to the Rheinland Valkyrie and the Civilian Falcon, the ship costs 100,000 credits less. Unfortunately, it is seen that more people invest their extra money into the enhanced batteries and turn rates of the Falcon instead.
The "Stiletto" is some kind of doubledecker.
It has an extra pod with an additional engine and wings.
The additional wings hold two more hardpoints for more weapons.
Due to the extra pod, the "Stiletto" has a more refined energy production system than the "Dagger". This is strongly needed in order to feed two more weapons and an overall higher class of weapons and shields being usable. Lots of parts used for energy production have moved into the pillar and the extra pod, leaving more cargo space in the main ship.
(In fact, the cargo space on my LEGO model never changes.:-) )
The shield emitter has moved to the right side of the pillar that connects the extra pod with the main ship. To its old place under the cockpit, the torpedo launcher/cruise disruptor hardpoint has moved.
The thruster has moved to the left side of the pillar.
The "Stiletto" lacks a turret, so this hardpoint remains unused.
A shot from below. I don´t know how pilots are to reach the cockpit without a ladder!

It's defintly spot on, that's for sure. I forgot how much different styles of weapons there were in the game until I saw your guns. I like it! |

I like how you offsetted the guns on your creations, I used to always try to make the guns on both wings match and stuff. It has been awhile since I had played Freelancer, but I and a bunch of old SWG pilots are planning on getting back into Freelancer using total convertion mods to make it look like SWG lol.
Thanks! Well, in-game I like to do the same and here I just wanted to have something for the eyes to see. ~Cheers |

Amazing how much better you can make a ship by just sticking on a few extra panels right! |

Freelancer? Man, I rarely ever see stuff from that game, which is a terrible disappointment because I love it. Yet, all I can truly say is "WOW!" because this Stiletto looks so much like the ship in the game! Impressive build, Man! Thanks! I love that game too (obviously) and wanted to be able to touch the ships since I played the game for the first time! So I´ve simply built them from LEGOs myself. Maybe you want to join my Freelancer group http://mocpages.com/group.php/9409 and build one yourself? The group could need some more activity! ~Marc |

Very nice, I haven't heard of this game before. Even in this scale, the fighter looks dangerous.
Und wie ich sehe hast du sogar einen Käufer für das Modell gefunden? Hoffe, der wollte es nicht um der Bauteile willen ;-)
Sorry for being very, very, veeeeerrrryyy late with this answer. However, I´d never sell it. I only have this one and it is part of my collection! :-) Maybe I´d sell the MLCAD file. |

I must have missed this one, another cool build. Love that this looks like a fighter on legs, so out there. Your Borderworld work just look great.
Thank you for the comment. I like that one leged doubledecker look too. Hmmm, I should build a red baron version! :-)
