This 1947 built truck is one of the 8 that were stationed at the lego city Army Base. The truck transported troops and supplys from the Army base to the Air Force and Coast Guard bases, 50, and 20 miles away. The 8 trucks replaced the small military railway, that ran trains ever other day. I have uploaded a picture of a former Army speeder. cheak my page for it. The trucks can carry 6 troops, or 2 tons of cargo. The truck here was also used in the handeling of top secrete FBI files in 1957. The truck was retired in 1963 and used as back up until 2000 when a care less driver crashed it into a stationary F-22 Rapter at the Air Force Base. This truck has a designated number of 0800.
