I simulate an actual brick facade by using 3 different shades of red LEGO pieces. This small townhome dates back to the early 1800s.
About this creation
This federal-style townhome is squeezed in between a tall glass skyscraper and a mid-20th-century apartment block.
This building came to mind when I wanted to simulate brickface using the three new shades of red that LEGO pieces come in. On a mission, I was out to buy as many dark red and sand red 1x2 plates that I could find. Well, thanks to peeron.com, I found out that they don't make sand red 1x2 plates! So the ones you see here are actually goofy 1x2 plates with a bar attached to them (most are turned inwards, so you can only see the flat side.)
