What else is there to say other than I took the Gunship set, and began making it better.
About this creation
First, you may notice "Where's the front doors?!" I took them off. The whole idea behind this MOD was to make it more like the version of the LAAT/i gunship we see in episodes 2 and 3, but suspiciously transform into a new version in between. I also added the black boxy thing on the ceiling (Maybe it's an air conditioner, I don't know.) and some short bionicle arms, which are for the manned ball turrets (as soon as I get my hands on the right pieces).
I also took the section where the medical capsule was and replaced it with that archway. Why it's there we may never know.
I also took some of the missiles an put them on the underside of the wings. I figured they looked close enough to the air-to-air missiles that are supposed to be there.
On the doors I smoothed out the length of the viewslits. Now, instead of being 2 studs different in length, they are only 1. I also added a "phone handle" if you can see it.
A small detail I added was placing the roundel straight on the side of the gunship.
The gunship no longer has a name or emblem. (I hand drew the new decal.)
Underneath that pannel, I kept the storage space for the Command Center. Even though I think it would be more fitting on the LATT/c, I couldn't think of anything better to put there and couldn't help but keep it.
I added that black line to the front. Not really sure what it's there for...
Using tanktread parts, I added missile ammo. If I could, I would have it lead straight into the launchers, but that would be difficult for me to engineer.
I replaced the old pannel here with a more ideal one and added greebles underneath instead of "spy droid" storage.
Inside the wing ball turrets, I filled in the seating space with grey parts to imply mechanics.
I widened the back ramp. You probably noticed I took out the speeder rack. This was a nice attention to detail on the set designers' parts, except that the speeders (up to 4) are stored on the the ramp and the speeder took up too much room in the troop area.
Here is the speeder itself. I MODed it to that the steering struts stay together better, there's a built in blaster and a weapon's rack.
Here is my modified Commander Cody.
And my MODed pilot.
