Not bad at all. The effectiveness of a simple design is often underestimated. My only recommendation would be to give a Toa some unique extra feature when you make it simple (like a hidden weapon, a transformation, an unusual color combo...) to keep it interesting and make it unique. In this sense the color change was a decent start. Keep it up!
