About this creation
"Let's move out! Let's push them back to the Hades the crawled out of!" Calls the Champion.
While the Champion draws the fire...
The explosives expert flanks the barricade and tosses in a grenade.
*Gwwaaaa!* The barricade is breeched!
"Follow it up boys! Let's move!"
The flanker and the half-track make quick work of the barricade. But they can't rest long.
"Gunny, get up on the roof and give us some cover. The rest of you clean up this mess, we need to press on their heels."
The CIP attempted to counterattack with reinforcements to stabilize their defensive line, as when enemies meet in the open, a bloodbath ensued. The attack was repelled, but at a great cost.
Suddenly, the odds were drastically shifted in the CIP's favor.
The source of the fire was found, a CIP grenadier. Then, directly in front of them, the CIP section leader revealed himself; daring the LRF to challenge him.
The Champion rushed forward to kill the leader, but was intercepted by the leader's honor guard. A short battle ensued in which the Champion dispatched of the guard, and took the leader prisoner.
"Who are you? Who sent you?" The Champion demanded. "Tell me or I'll kill you!"
"You fool." The foul CIP hisses. "It matters not if you kill me, you will perish in the end. More of us are coming, soon this place will be ours!"
"Not this time, if I can help it!" With that, the Champion thrusts the blade into the leader's body, killing him.
"Is it true what he said, sir? Are more of them coming?"
"Yes, more are coming. We won't be able to hold out for much longer. The only thing that gave us an edge has been destroyed. Our numbers are far too little, I fear they will get us next time. If only we had a radio."
But not all may be lost, for the darkest hour is just before the dawn...
*Radio crackles* "Alpha One to LRF commander, do you read me? Attempting to establish your perimeter for immediate troop drop. Do you read me?..."
