Mini LAAT/i
This is my miniature LAAT/i, inspired by the awesome model by Thomas Lockwood. His model was exceptional, but I felt that it was too bulky. I've lengthened it by two studs and redone it completely in classic Ep. 2 colors. The shape is based on set 7676.
About this creation
Why choose Legoarts?

Armament
Our LAAT/i is fully armed with correctly proportioned, movie-accurate missiles and turrets, including 2 ball turrets, 3 laser cannon, and 2 mass-driver missile launchers.

Cargo Capacity
Our enlarged troop hold can carry 6 Thomas Lockwood-style troopers, and has two handholds in the ceiling.

Engine
We used the best of modern vents to create our engine's directional slats.

Colors
Our LAAT/i has been done completely in movie-accurate, classic Episode 2 colors. We used the 1x2 tile from the official mini X-Wing to provide unrivaled wing detail.

By the way, for those of you wondering, the rear laser cannon does exist in the movies (2 and 3), and can be seen firing once during Episode 2 when an LAAT/i full of Jedi lifts off from the Geonosian Arena.

Quoting Mike 3579 I love every thing about this, except the wing turrets. They look a little flat to me. Still, the shape and everything is much better than I could of done. 5/5
I was trying to make the turrets correctly proportioned to the body. I wanted to use the Technic balls that Thomas Lockwood used for "Big Beautiful Doll" on their sides in a hole in the wing, but I only have them in tan.

Quoting Thomas Lockwood Wow dude you need to get on FBTB.net, and CABG.com, this is great, you built it so quickly, it just astounds me. The only thing I can nitpick is the back, but the front everything else is extremely well done. WOW
Quick? You think THIS is quick? I've actually already finished the LAAT/c, but I'm waiting to post it to maximize my chances of getting on the Popular this Week list, as being on the list greatly increases visitors. As for FBTB and CABG, I'd like to, but my parents are waiting till I'm older before letting me join a forum primarily composed of adults.

This is very nicely done! i like the fact that it's almost SNOT. I also like the rear engines. I would say the cockpits need some work and the wing cannons, but all-in-all very well done. Hey, I rebuilt and reposted my Mecha Boba with a new head. Please check it out and let me know what you think:) http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/136183
