Weapons - “Jackhammer” Custom Minigun
About this creation
I made this minigun as a custom order for my MOCpages friend Paul Beach, so he could place it atop his awesome Humvee . Paul, I hereby give you explicit permission to use this minigun in your MOCs, and I trust you to give me credit for it, like you said.
The dark gray plate you see directly above the hinge is actually a turntable, giving the minigun a very wide firing arch. In fact since it can aim toward the sky and has quick target-tracking capabilities, it can even serve a light anti-aircraft role.
The silver “grille” pieces are actually armored heat vents. The top one is actually an anti-stealth mini-radar.
The device on top of the barrel is a high-speed, multi-spectrum, self-calibrating, self-cleaning scope with precision target-acquisition-and-tracking software and infrared, ultraviolet, and night-vision capabilities, as well as being able to zoom in and out (of course) and filter out things like smoke and fog.
The minigun itself uses a 7.62x51mm armor-piercing NATO round. It’s rate of fire is up to 6,000 rounds per minute, but the built-in ammo-control computer prevents wasted shots.
* This is MOC a product of STAR Corp. The company's Security Forces often have this weapon mounted atop various vehicles. Many governments' militaries have signed contracts with STAR Corp. to ensure a supply of these weapons for their own use.
* As usual, the program I used to build this is LeoCAD.
I then converted it to an .ldr file and rendered it with LDView.
For info on contacting me about permission to use the design or obtaining a copy of the 3D file I made, see my homepage.

nice minigun! I like the *Ctrl V* high-speed, multi-spectrum, self-calibrating, self-cleaning scope with precision target-acquisition-and-tracking software and infrared, ultraviolet, and night-vision capabilities, as well as being able to zoom in and out (of course) and filter out things like smoke and fog. ...thingy on the barrel.
Thanks! :) ...I do like my highly-detailed technothriller specifications... |

Okay, I hope the Taliban and Al Quaida are ready for an ultra beatdown. Their fortresses won't last long... I made the changes and mounted it up. I'll send you a demo pic and then I'll see what I can do with the soldiers! |

Lol, sorry I should have noticed.
Hey, it's OK, you're not the first person to make that mistake (and you probably won't be the last). :) |

You made an incredible gun. Also you provided a good amount of info to match it. Just wondering, what program did you use to create this?
Thanks! The programs I used are listed in the MOC description for your convenience. :) |
