I've built an Iwo Jima tribute. It took a while to get the figures in the right positions. I'm quite proud of the base, and how it's leveled.

That flag in the lego version is a fifty star flag. But please keep in mind that at the time Hawaii and Alaska were not states, so this should be a 48 star flag. Even the 49 star flag was not introduced until 1959. |

I think this is cool, and I really like it, but the problem is that the men who put up the flag were marines, so they should be in sand green, not tan. Even if this were Europe and not marines, at the time of the war this were happening, they'd be wearing OD Green. But still good job! |

its perfect but ive been looking all over mocpages for something not the best but one that gives credit to somebody, that somebody was my great grandpas friend his name was ted tuddenham he actually carried that exact flag to the top under fire and everything but nobody gives him credit so if you guys could just remember that that these were the ones that put the flag up but the ones that carried the flag up to mount sarabachi are the ones that are heros the ones that put up the flag were just as important and in danger but just remember that |

Okay, time to judge! Details 8/10 (I love the different layers and the positioning of the soldiers) Creativity 8/10 (Though I have seen this done quite a lot I'm only docking you 2 points though because of how well this is done) and Overall 8/10 (I love the ground and the flag). All together that's a 24/30. Good Luck! |

I like it! The black and white was a nice touch! There were only like 4 guys in the actual thing I think. Also try modeling the terrain like the photograph. Someone said this was actualy taken the second time they raised it, true but the original picture they took is no where near as inspiring! I believe they sell helmets like that (or close) at birckforge |
