shelby 427 cobra 1/8 Scale
About this creation

the simple interrior

the fully detailed 427 cubic inch, 355 BHP V8.

I even put in a fuel filler cap and fill line for the tank

Here is my finished 1/8 scale 1965 Shelby Cobra. its 19.25 inches long, 8.5 inches wide, and 4.9 inches tall and ahas an 11.25 inch wheel base. It has a 4 speed gearbox. This is the most detailed car I have ever made. I even went so far as to put in a fuel filler cap that is connected to the gas tank. the engine is fully detailed down to the serpentine belt on the engine. the engine also has a full intake with air filter, carburetor that has throttle linkage and is connected to the gas tank with a fuel line. I also made full headers and exhaust. The radiator is also connected to the engine. This is also quite possibly the quickest build I have ever done

Great work! I like the shaping of the body parts with the flexible Technic elements. A few lines make a great result here. The rest of the model is on the same high level. Great work!

Quoting Rob Conner I guess it might not be possible, but could you build a linkage from the gearbox that ran forward to the right side of the driver's seat like the real thing?
I have something similar on my zonda roadster, but still requires 4 studs of space which is as narrow as I could get it, which is too wide for three seats. maybe I could make an RC one....

Quoting Rob Conner Very nice. I too would like to see a McLaren F1, is there not space behind the centre seat which sits further forward than the passengers?
the problem is there wouldn't be enough room for the shifter

Quoting Vinny Turbo This is a real piece of art. You got us used to outsanding cars but this one is even better than the previeous ones. And I am amazed how fast you build. You make me want to build technic cars. For your next car, I think the Datsun is too easy for you. The NSX is a great car but my suggestion would be the 1995 McLaren F1 LM (http://www.globalcar.com/datasheet/McLaren/1992_McLaren_F1.htm / the yellow one on the second picture) or maybe more challenging the Porsche 959 (http://www.globalcar.com/datasheet/Porsche/1987_Porsche_959.htm).
there would be only one problem with the McLaren, it has 3 seats, that would make putting a gearbox in all but impossible. otherwise I would have built it by now.

First to comment. This is another fine large-scale car from you Tyler. Great work. The car pretty accurate to the real car. Nice features like the opening doors, hood, and trunk. I also like the complexity of your cars like the gearboxes, steering, suspension, etc. Great work once again, and keep building these large-scale cars. Keep building! -Tony
