The building continues, as of 7/6/09. This one is alot bigger that the last one. I had an idea of how bigit would be, but until you actually put the pieces together, it's hard to actually gauge the finished size. This is only the front half of Echo base mountain. For transport purposes this type of build wiil make it easier to move and transport it in case it goes to a show again.

If you look at my first version it will be simular, only bigger, more detailed and maybe 3 walkers.

Thanks, all my visible pieces I buy are new and I get them from whom ever has the cheapest price (usually pick-a-part is not the cheapest).

Man I love Episode 5 and the battle of Hoth is my favorite battles of all times! This is coming out beautiful, I mean the amount of detail on the exterior of the base is fantastic! If it is not too much to ask can you see some of my creations? |

Wow. That is incredible! When its done it'll be the greatest Lego Hoth base EVER! I love how you set it up to easily view the inside while still retaining the overall base with the exterior. The lights are a very nice touch that not only look cool, but function to show off your model. This was well conceived and is very impressive. |

I will probably have somewhere around 70,000 to 100,000 piece in this MOC when I am done. I have alot more pieces than that also. Still alot left to do. Thanks for the interest.

No, first just 4 basics, 3 advanced lighting kits and some custom work for the original Hoth. Now almost doubled that for the revision.

Yes, I do buy the sets for the figures and I can always use the parts. I usually buy two of each, one for collecting and one for my son to build. I actually have almost every Star Wars Lego set ever made new and boxed in my garage.

I'm trying to build a 96x96 Echo base, so when it's finished, Please check it out! I also see you are using the new googles on the Hoth troop, you should change the colour of the arms to white and the legs to grey, and replace the head with one from the rebel landspeeder battle pack. |
