A scent wafts over a lonely beach, a scent that will change the world forever. The scent is of fresh blood. The date is June 6, 1944 and the time is now. A faint hum can be heard over the water. Yet you can see nothing. You can smell nothing, except the scent... the dreaded scent of blood. Suddenly gunfire explodes from everywhere drowning out your thought emotion, feeling and sense... exept for that smell of blood. You hear the screams and cries of dying men, as the lament to the heavens to spare them their lives. and the only thing that keeps you concious is the faint and smooth smell... of blood.

The German Flak88 Millimeter Cannon I made special for this MOC.

Rangers at the bottom are rolding the ropes in place.

And yes the top comes off so you can see inside. Neat huh!
The German General urges the machine gunner to keep fireing.
The Colonal calls for rienforcements on the radio.
Like the real thing the bunker has a little hole in the wall behind the door for mounting a machine gun and ripping would be attackers to shreds.

And likewise with the American Rangers.

On my trip to France I came here and my entire school year stood in a german bunker in the cold and damp. This reminds me of it and gives my lots of reasons to love it. First of all, I love the way the put a really nice description at the start. Just amazing. |

I doubt you could fit three men per row in the Higgins...and although it's been said I don't understand why you put the Flak there. Otherwise nice build though. |

Because durring the battle, the American soldiers had trouble getting up, and when they did, The Flak 88mm's were gone and were replaced with telephone poles. A young soldier found footprints and tracks that went out into an apple orchard. The soldier and his men then kept moving and found the missing Flak 88's. Yes I did but decided not to make a fake Flak88 because some people might think I was too lazy to actually build an artilary piece.
