How to make a sliding door for a LEGO stopmotion
A principle of an elevator door.
About this creation

Faelo asked me how to make a LEGO sliding door, and I just couldn't explain in words. I don't even know if this answers your question, Faelo. ^^ Anyway, I used this as an elevator in a stopmotion.

Pieces.
A little square room thing for your elevator body.
An elevator door. (two line bricks. You know, two 1/3s of a brick.)
And two poles, 1 stud width, as high as your door or box.

Two views of Step I:
Place the poles in the box, 1 stud space between them and the box opening.

Step II.
Place the door between the poles and the opening.

Slide it up and down with your hand.

There. The hard parts are to build your door and stuff scale to your box.
Even if your door and box (you may only even have a wall) are different than mine, the same principle with the poles works.
Hopefully, this answers your question, Faelo!

Quoting "CC-7722" G.A.R Bomb Squad Commander Flack Cool. I might use these.
Thanks! If you do, could you give me credit, though? :] Of course, I'm sure other people out there have discovered it themselves.

Quoting Sergeant Pepper Neat idea. I think they use this in that tiny set with Qui-Gon on the droid control ship.
Cool! Never seen the set, but thanx!

Quoting CC-0321 - "Faelo" Schweet! Thanks man! I'll try it out after my wrist recovers. What happened? I don't really know. I got a mild concussion (or so the doc says) and I sprained my wrist. I don't remember anything before 12:00 this afternoon.
Okay, thanks! Get better soon!
