About this creation
Well, I believe that I am now truly part of the community in the Desert Haven.
They kept me in that huge rock for a couple of months after I arrived, but now they seem to trust me. The leaders of Haven have given me my first true assignment, a 2 month shift in Watch Post 7, along the "border" of Haven (so to speak). this watch post is more of a listening post, for radio signals coming in from beyond the wastes. Still, there's not much to do here but look out into the desert. They stationed me with a gruff veteran, who I still haven't been able to get his name out of. I just call him "Sargeant Jackson", I don't know his first name.
Anyways, when they sent me out here, they just told me to follow the telephone poles, and it would get me there. Weird. They supply us well out here, though, and we even have our own little "garden". Oh well back to watching.
^ We have an old Lewis Gun set up in a turret towards the waste, but if anything comes out of the desert, it won't do much.
How Jackson keeps the soil under the arch like that, I'll never know. But I'm not complaining.
We get most of the power we need from the single, old solar panel installed by Jackson.
The old radio occasionally picks up radio stations from the still functioning satellites overhead. Eerie. ... Wait, What's that? Out there...
Yeah, it goes with Desert Haven. I just had a bunch of dark grey and tan pieces sitting around, an I thought, "Why Not?".
And sorry about the crappy background. I was too lazy to take down the big one I used for "Outskirts".
And this was built in about an hour, the day after Outskirts was done...

Wow. The detail is inspiring and the story tagged to it is amazing. I guess I didn't realize I made a Apoc Moc with the same name, so sorry about that, I'll change it. (The Apocalypse: Desert Haven) I hope to see some more great stuff from you. |
