Rock Raiders: L.M.S.Explorer
It's not a perfect detailed copy of the ship from the videogame but a redesign model with logical structures.
About this creation

The Explorer is the most famous mining ship today, because the ship got lost in an instabile wormhole some years ago and had to survive several months in an unknown galaxy alone. To their luck, they found a mineral-filled planet, now called "planet M", where the Rock Raiders refined enough energy crystals for their homecoming. Unfortunately, a part of the crew didn't survived and died by rock monsters, earthquakes and lavaeruptions.

The L.M.S. Explorer is a giant interstellar mining ship and controlled by the Rock Raiders group in charge of the earth alliance. Its mission is to find energy crystals and different kind of ores on other planets. The giant vessel consists of 3 sections: The living area for the 3000-counting crew, the cargo section, where all mining machines and resources for their underground missions are, and the working section with powerplant, machine rooms, hangar and refinery.

The bridge

Captain of the Explorer and boss of all Rock Raider missions is the chief. He is an 55-year old veteran and lost his right arm in an alien battle. Today he commands the fair work missions with lots of wisdom and responsibility.

The T.H.S.R
The Explorer is equipped with a tactical holo-simulation room, where the geologists can scan discovered planets or asteroids in an interactive 3D-simulation. So it's easy for the Rock Raiers to find energy crystals and Lego ores in deep underground tunnels and practical space for their mining colony. You can use the T.H.S.R. also for different researches about unknown alien spacecrafts or to plan a route through an asteroid belt. The device uses M-Tron Light-technology.

While on one side there's the hangar for shuttles and smaller vessels, there's a high-tech docking station on the other. Here different kinds of space ships or space stations can lock at the L.M.S. Explorer to load suppliement and reload ores and energy crystals.

I'll add some other rooms soon, but for now, all my grey bricks are needed for other projects and well, it's a boring darkgrey mining ship in Rock Raiders style, so nothing very exciting.

Inspired by the models from Lop Huckawuckie and the Rock Raiders video game.

Quoting Mister Bones Nice build on the ship on very nice photoshop on this. Your interiors looks great on these ships, although, the brightness of the pics makes them look a tad washed out. Have you ever tried to adjust the brightness, contrast and midtones before?
If it's too bright, my old pc monitor is responsible. It's all a bit darker on my screen.

Cool! I particularly like the way you 'simulated' the hologram room. Good write up too. :)
