VW Beetle Volksrod
Well folks, as you can see, this isn't my BIG project that I told you about in my last MOC; I know I sound like a big fat liar :0 but I really have some troubles with that project, I didn't expect it would take that number of bricks, so I'm now very low in pieces that I need to finish it, but I promise... it'll be my next project, as my good friend Patrick Chambers saw, it's about 80% done right now. Any way hope you to enjoy my current MOC, it's my first Rod ever, and it's my entry for the BRICKSonWHEELS 5th challenge "Get Roding" by Ape Fight: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/4181 Thanks for visiting my page.
About this creation

Volksrod:
Volksrods are modified Volkswagen beetles. They are used as an alternative to traditional hot rods and are quickly growing in popularity. Classic Ford Model T's and Model A's are becoming more scarce and more valuable. Consequently, their expense has made obtaining and modifying one not feasible for the masses. Because of this, according to some, hot rods have lost that sense of rebellion and have become stale.
As an alternative, the Volkswagen community has turned to the volksrod. The volksrod starts out as a traditional Volkswagen beetle. They are cheaper, easier to find, and easier to find parts for.
One popular method of the conversion involves removing the front and rear fenders of the beetle, and then installing a classic Ford front axle to move the wheels forward and give the car a low, stretched look. After that it's finished off with a chopped top and a flat black paint job, often with pinstriping. Another popular customization is to move the stock Volkswagen axle beam forward or reverse the trailing/torsion arms and re-work the steering linkages. But as with all types of car customization, lots of different modifications are practiced in different combinations. The volksrod is also an extension of the ratrod customization style. usually built with little or no expensive machined aluminum or chrome plated parts, the VolksRod is mostly handmade by the owner with simple mechanical tools and welding equipment. The Volksrod/Ratrod usually eschewes an expensive paint job, utilising spray can paint applied in one's driveway. A common refrain, often heard, is "cut-weld-drive"

No, she isn't as cute or nice as she looks; she's just an aggressive naughty little girl which is always like to hang out with her bad friends and make troubles where ever she goes, you might have to take a look at the back and the inside to realize what I'm talking about; so go ahead and scroll down ;)

The overall view
Let's start with some front shots of this naughty beauty...

Look at her; isn't she so cute!?

Side shots

As you can see, I made some flaming work at the sides

It's the first time I make a two tones vehicle...

So don't go so hard on me :[

Side shot with the sunroof open...

Some rear shots of this faty girl:

She has a fat wheels at the back, not even enough to handle this cute monster!

Some bird looks at the beauty :)

The functional elements
Everything's open

Notice the way I used the hinges at the front

The interior
Welcome to the interior section:

Simple interior lines, with a cold color combo of white and blue, notice the minifig head as a shifter ;P

And some shots for the interior without the roof for better view:

The trunk, or hood or whatever: oh my! what a mess :0

The details
Here are some shots for the details this beauty has:

Oh yeah, this classy girl has a panoramic sunroof, so her seats could get some tan...

The engine
She have a massive aggressive engine, it doesn't even fit in her trunk, so I had to cut a bit of the back... (what a mess, why they even put the engine right here!!?) :0

And yes, she's a big fat cheater, she's hiding a NOS bottle around here, so no one could smoke her ;p

She even smoked an LP560 once! I told you; she's not as she seems ;)
Hope you liked my little cute beauty :) and stay tuned for my upcoming MOC, I worked too long on it, and I'm still working.
So, till then take care every one and keep building.
