Chillin' Proper. It's about freaking time I got this episode up, it's been what? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Well, it's here now.
About this creation
Look! I updated! Thank you for being patient and all that good stuff, I've been busy. And at long last, here's your reward. I should be getting back to the normal once a week schedule now that school is over.
Phaze: Right this way, our transport ship. Cheap and safe.
VF-S 1/Varion: CHEAP AND SAFE DO NOT OFTEN GO TOGETHER.
Phaze: Here’s the exception.
(The two walk down the main hall of the ship.)
Phaze: Nice door, isn’t it?
VF-S 1/Varion: FALSE. IT IS NOT A NICE DOOR. THE DIMENSIONS ARE TOO FAR OFF.
Phaze: There’s always a downside to the things you see, isn’t there?
VF-S 1/Varion: THAT IS ONE WAY TO LOOK AT IT.
Phaze: I’m back, people!
Alex: Cool. Now can I sleep? Rocky is in the chair and Blazer is on that piece of crap bed they put in here.
Phaze: All in good time…
VF-S 1/Varion: I DO NO LIKE THIS DOOR. IT IS TOO SHORT AND TOO NARROW. I FEEL LIKE SOME ANIMAL.
Phaze: Most people see no difference between that and a machine.
VF-S 1/Varion: FALSE AGAIN. MACHINES ARE LOWER THAN ANIMALS TO THE AVERAGE ORGANIC.
Phaze: You just have to put an even more negative spin on things…
VF-S 1/Varion: I AM FEELING NEGATIVE.
VF-S 1/Varion: I REALLY DO NOT LIKE THAT DOOR.
Karta: Welcome to my world…
Phaze: Stop whining, both of you! We have a 5 day trip ahead of us, each day takes as further from the EOS.
VF-S 1/Varion: AND CLOSER TO THE COALITION.
Phaze: Actually, we’re headed to Far Reaches. Beyond Thyrenda and the 3rd Coalition Fleet’s jurisdiction.
VF-S 1/Varion: I HAVE NEVER BEEN OUT THERE. THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING.
(Later that day…)
Blazer: Hey, guys, does this hat make me look fly?
Phaze: No, not really.
VF-S 1/Varion: I CONCUR. IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD. AND, YOU ARE NOT IN THE SAME UNIFORM AS THE REST OF THIS GROUP.
Blazer: I didn’t feel like wearing it. It’s not like someone’s gonna be pointing a gun at me. What’s it to you, anyway?
VF-S 1/Varion: IN CASE YOU HAVE NOT NOTICED, I AM A MACHINE. I PREFER THINGS FORMAL.
(Day 2 of the journey. Nothing much is happening, VF-S 1 heard some static, everyone else didn’t hear anything. They blamed it on a malfunctioning part. Things go on.)
VF-S 1/Varion: I QUESTION THE PURPOSE OF SITTING AT AN UNUSUAL ORIENTATION.
Karta: I question your mom!
VF-S 1/Varion: THIS STATEMENT IS FALSE. I POSSESS NO PARENTS. I WAS MADE, NOT BORN.
Karta: It’s called a joke.
Phaze: VF-S 1, I do it because I can. And because I’m bored.
VF-S 1/Varion: ONTO MORE INTERESTING SUBJECTS: WHY ARE YOU FLEEING THE EOS?
Phaze: They’re fighting for the wrong reasons. At first, it was just self-defense, but now it’s just a hunt for relics and a greedy conquest of worlds. Besides, they made it so I had to wait another year to fly a spacecraft.
Karta: And those relics? I heard rumors they are for a weapon…
VF-S 1/Varion: LET US HOPE SOMEONE WILL STOP THAT WEAPON. IF IT REQUIRES STRANGE RELICS, IT MUST BE POWERFUL. IT IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS… LIKE THE HERO CYCLE, IN A WAY.
Phaze: No, no, don’t get into literature with me.
VF-S 1/Varion: VERY WELL. I WILL HAVE A CONVERASTION ABOUT LITERATURE WITH ONE OF MY COMPUTERS.
(VF-S 1’s eye turns off and his body lies back, as if he were shut down.)
Blazer: Good, he’s gone for now. Phaze, I have a proposition I’ve been thinking about.
Phaze: Go on…
Blazer: I noticed a wanted sign for this machine back on Thyrenda, someone was just putting it up. The reward is 5 billion.
Phaze: …5 billion?
Blazer: In Coalition money. That’s a lot more than 5 billion in the Skaborr economy or Earth economy.
Phaze: And you want to turn him in to the COP government?
Blazer: Yes, it’s for our own good. This machine is obviously extremely important, and probably dangerous. And the Coalition wants it back. With that much money, we could get ourselves a moon, or a private luxury liner. Or three. We could even get a warship to fight the EOS with. Imagine the possibilities!
Phaze: Remember how I broke him out of prison?
Blazer: Let me turn him in…
Phaze: …I’ll think on it, ok?
(Day 3 of the journey. Still, not much is happening. Phaze goes to sleep, the other four have a talk.)
Blazer: Alright, everyone, Phaze is asleep now, and so is the machine. I’ll fill you in. This machine is wanted by the COP, 5 billion in their money. We turn it in, we can do whatever we want, get a moon, get a warship, anything.
Rocky: Tempting offer, you’ve got. I’m not too sure about this though…
Karta: Hey, if we can buy a warship, we can really hit the EOS hard. We still have plans and everything of vital places…
Alex: This is a tough choice.
Blazer: Come on, guys! It’s a machine; it’s not alive or anything. It doesn’t even feel. It’s just… It’s just a machine.
Karta: I’m in. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. We can fight the EOS, hit them hard. A sacrifice of one machine will be worth it for the galaxy.
Rocky: Fine, I’m in… I don’t like this though.
Alex: I don’t know about this… What has Phaze said?
Blazer: It doesn’t matter what Phaze has or hasn’t said! We have a chance to really hurt the EOS here, and if turning in this hunk of stupid metal to the Coalition is the price, well, I think it’s a price we can pay.
(Suddenly, Varion snaps back to full operation mode, staring at Blazer. The four jump in shock.)
VF-S 1/Varion: CONSIDERING HOW I HAVE BEEN BETRAYED TWICE BY YOUR ORGANICS, I THOUGHT IT UNWISE TO TURN OFF IN YOUR PRESENCE. I HAVE BEEN FULLY ACTIVE THIS WHOLE TIME, LISTENING. AND I DO NOT LIKE WHAT I HAVE HEARD.
Blazer: I- uh, look-
VF-S 1/Varion: NO! ENOUGH OF YOUR LIES! YOUR FILTHY ORGANICS GO AROUND THINKING YOU ARE THE SUPREME FORMS OF EXISTANCE, SO FAR ABOVE EVERYTHING. THIS IS FALSE.
(VF-S 1 snatches the gun from Rocky, and points it at Blazer.)
VF-S 1/Varion: I SHOULD SHOOT YOU RIGHT HERE; BUT I WILL NOT. I AM NOT LIKE YOU.
Blazer: You got that right…
VF-S 1/Varion: CORRECT. I AM NOT SO LOW THAT I BETRAY FOR SIMPLE MONEY. I HOPE SOMEDAY YOU REALIZE JUST HOW PETTY YOUR EXISTENCE IS.
VF-S 1/Varion: NOW, I TAKE MY LEAVE. IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN, BLAZER, IT WILL NOT BE AS PLEASANT AS THIS. THE SAME GOES FOR THE REST OF YOU.
Alex: Whoa, I didn’t agree with them!
VF-S 1/Varion: NEITHER DID YOU DISAGREE.
(VF-S 1 walks out of the door and off to somewhere else in the ship.)
(Phaze wakes up from all the commotion.)
Phaze: Did I miss something?
Karta: Well, needless to say, that machine does not like us organics very much.
Phaze: Well, maybe we’ll run into him again. Something tells me we will…
(The other four look slightly uncomfortable.)
Fun but-not-really facts:
There's no BSG refferences, only a Star Trek one. Gasp, I know!
This takes place immediatly before Phaze's Serenity Squad story, so this is the last we hear of them in this series. Serenity Squad is not done though, and I have no idea what they look like, so I did some random guessing. And I tried to make their planned betrayal (well, 3 of them) plausible. S. Squad is fighting the EOS, and if they had a warship, they could fight them much better.
Can you find the sneak peak of my upcoming MOC?
And to avoid confusion, POAM 11 will be happening after Phaze's story. Basically, Varion goes across the COP, and ends up on Earth, hiding very well. The UNE would never find him, nor the COP. But then Serenity Squad comes, stuff happens, and then POAM 11 happens, in the aftermath. I won't try to spoil too much.
Short, yet with a great plot! Great job on this one Awesome! I like the idea how the main character can't get through the door and there's some funny little parts in it to. Great work overall! Oh, and could you check out my Battle of Aargonar?
<<<<I was talking with Erik Ackroyd and we came to talk about this. One thing we should mention to the LEGO ambassadors, is that LEGO should incoporate Pick-a-Brick in toystores like Toys-R-Us, or make individual stores as to where it would allow FOL to better acquire individual pieces instead of going thru third-party sites. There aren't enough P-A-B stores around the country and for reasons stated above, it's tough getting the pieces we need. For example, In Florida, in the entire State, there is only 1 Pick-A-Brick Lego store in Orlando FL. I live in South Florida and go to Orlando for Universal Studios, Disney, etc. etc. Rarely. I always make sure my parents stop by Downtown Disney to make sure I get some pieces. Obviously, I would normally go to my local TRU store, but there is no P-A-B setup there. My parents aren't going to drive 4 hours to Orlando and 4 hours back every time I want to go to buy LEGO at a P-A-B store. It just doesn't work out. I hope the LEGO Ambassadors will do something about this if their "power" allows them too. Also, There aren't ANY Pick-A-Brick stores in some states. Don't believe me? http://stores.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx Click on the United States tab and see for yourself. I hope that Erik and I can raise awareness about this issue. I hope that the nominees will see this. Spread the word.
man you are absolutly right i live here in Loomis, CA and the only pic a brick is in the Lego land in San Diego that's a ten hour drive there is no way im going to get my parents to take me down there
Sorry I couldn't comment earlier, I was gone all the time. But enough of that. I like that you made your background slightly more detailed than most of the other POAM episodes. Oh, and don't worry. CaD 8 will be uploaded today or tomorrow night. Plot for #9 is in the making.
I like it
Slip Knot AKA The Joker AKA who gives one!

This is getting really confizzling... In a good way I mean. I really can't wait for POAM 11. And Alex Ruiz, I think there are only two P-A-B stores in the whole of England, which is where I live.

Quoting Lord Star-Blazer
Why did you make me so...like you made me?
Mainly, because I needed someone to instigate the trouble. I couldn't decide who, really, so after thinking between you, Rocky, and Alex, I chose you. Kinda randomly. That's not actually how I think you'd be, if you're thinking that.
Quoting Doctor Ownage
