Rebel Y-Wing
I hope the size of it compared with my background paper shows just how gigantic it is!
About this creation
Just over a week ago, I decided that enough was enough! I was building a minifig-scale (sorta) Y-Wing, or die trying! As you can see, I didn't die.

I made sure key details were in the finished product, like the "thruster control jets", or those little circles in the back.

Rave sits at the cockpit, modeled carefully after playing a few Rogue Squadron levels (N64 ftw)

Also, there's the obligatory copilot seat, which since it is exactly 2 studs wide, cannot fit anything with arms. Still, I pimped it out with controls and buttons ^_^

GREEBLES!! Some based on reference pics, others out of my imagination.

Engine secrets… The design to your left is actually from TLC's set, I was just basing it off of Chris pr's mod. However, the turntable approach seems to be mine, and I take pride in using it. But if you've used it, please let me know!

About three times more Y-Wing photos can be found in its Flickr set.

Quoting Christopher Biocca Do you have assembly instructions for this.
Sorry, I don't, and most of this MOC is torn up anyhow. Feel free to use aspects of this in your own version, though, just give credit where credit is due.

Quoting Willis, the Legomancer I love how you've managed to tie two MOCs together! Let's hope no Mysterions accidentally fall into the nanite pit....
Actually, nearly all my recent MOCs are tied together. I put the links in the story :)

Expression on the surface of the body is wonderful. You are often observing this body. Great JOB!

Jeepers... I think it looks great! The varying colors lend themselves to the craft's reputation of requiring frequent maintenance. Perhaps that particlar BTL-S3 was pieced together as best as possible so it could fly another mission. Looks good. I like the detail. Nice job!

Quoting Tom Olivieri Well, to start, the combination of pieces isn't good. I mean, there are white, yellow, red, light grey, dark grey, tan, black pieces. It doesn't flow well, and the ship looks like it was thrown together in 5 minutes.
Well, white, yellow, grays and blacks are supposed to be in there. Half the time, I was following the diagram I printed out. Plus, a bit of color variety on the grills was fitting, it would've looked worse IMO if all the grills were shades of gray. If you had built a Y-Wing, would it have been white, yellow, and gray, and nothing else? Bland IMO. Also: I don't know how fast you build, but building this much in five minutes or any small increment of time is impossible for me. It took me an average of three hours per day in over a week to build this.

Quoting Tom Olivieri I'm not going to say much about this, but I will say this: Try to get back to building better mocs. I appreciate what you tried to do here, it just doesn't look good.
What's wrong? What can I change? If I need to buy more legos, it's not gonna happen any time soon… -_-;;
