Monterey Class Battleship: RDF Avenger
This Battleship measures over 33 inches long and is made of over 4000 pieces. I worked on this off and on for a few weeks. It has 4 large cannons on the bottom, 4 large cannons on the top and 20 anti-fighter guns throughout the ship. There's a hanger on the bottom where the lower tower meats the main hull and it is lined with landing lights.

@ Steef de Prouw: The one I'm working on now is a large minifig scale light freighter (competitor to my Rusty Mustang) and it'll have more color and less studs. It's like I read your mind a couple of month ago when I began this project. Does anyone else have an comments or suggestions? I really enjoy them as I want to continually improve my work.

You certainly have the interesting shapes and the greeblings down. Maybe for your next ship, you could add some colour and/or go for a bit more studless? It would be interesting to see how you manage those aspects.

I've already disassembled it. I needed the parts to build the Seaside Class ship and then the Rusty Mustang after that. I don't have enough parts to built more than one large thing at a time. I've actually just started my next creation. Once it's done I'll post some pics.

Thank you all for the kind words. Originally the design had much larger wings but while building I realized that it made the over all proportions look more like a fighter jet than a capital ship. Once I shrunk the wings down, it increased the sense of size.

Thank you all for the kind words. It's not a typo, there are over 4000 pieces. There are over 110 1x1 clear pieces (windows, light blue engine pieces and landing lights for the hanger)over 80 dark gray 1x2 vent plates and the frame is made of block instead of the usual technic pieces as I didn't have enough of those. ;) I was inspired by the large Romulan crusiers from Star Trek the Next Generation (large green thing with the hollow space in the middle) so that's the reason for the sleaker shape than most battleships. Though I posted the pics as a finished piece, I will update this if/when I come up with more ideas. Speaking of which, if anyone has some ideas to make it better, please feel free to leave them here.

I love the sleek lines, which are more reminiscent of a fast attack ship than a giant battleship. Oh well, if you say so... also, there are some really cool angled-plate sections on this ship. Great job!
