The smallest ship of the Blacktron fleet is still quite a menace.
About this creation
This is something I built while thinking about something else. I do like it, and maybe you do too. I guess it's the classic style that does it for me. You'll have to excuse the crappy photography though ;)
The Mosquito is a very cheap ship, both to purchase and to operate. But that doesn't mean it isn't rather valuable in a fight! It has wings that hold both solar panels and multiple weapons. They can be folded in several positions, depending on the type of flight (dogfight, cruise speed, landing) the ship is in.
Here you see a Mosquito guarding my kitchen. He doesn't like the way you're looking at my coffee machine.
Top view with a bit of a peek inside of the cockpit. Mosquitos are easy to handle. In fact, the Blacktron forces uses the Mosquito as their primary training craft.
You can imagine the speed and maneuverability such a small ship with such large engines has.
A flyover with a sneak view of the weapons systems. That's right. Two large laser cannons and two proton torpedo tubes. *makes a lame joke about mosquitos and stings*
Yeah, the wings folded in 'TIE' position. In this cruising setup, the photovoltaic modules can load in an optimum way.
In this position, the ship is even smaller than in the regular attack position. It's the preferred way of flying through giant trenches and space stations to blow stuff up.
Oh, and I nearly forgot: the sturdy wings also double as the landing gear ;)
That's a neato what now right!
A bit too much yellow for my personal taste, maybe, but it has a nice, retro look with an innovative, original twist on the wings. Very well done. I'm currently completing my very 1st chicken walker, and it's a Mysterion :)
I think for it to remind me of a mosquito it would have to be squished on my arm. Better in your kitchen guarding the coffee. Priorities. I like the color, but I'm partial to black and yellow. Looks good. see ya. garth

Awesome ship, with a well designed build, Steef! I love the color scheme you used, and it does remind me of a Mosquito. The backend of the ship is the most detailed, along with the creative design for the wings. I love how you made the wings fold into landing gear, now that's what I call getting the most out of the design! Did you plan the landing gear thing from the begining of the build, or did it kinda just work out at the end? Anyways, awesome ship, and great work with making even a small little build as detailed and creative and possible. Keep up the awesome MOCs, man!
Nah, I didn't plan anything. I was working on something completely unrelated (even to lego), and I just picked up some bricks and started building. Then this happened ;)
