The Brotherhood of Makuta is a powerful faction organized by the Great Spirit Mata Nui, tasked with carrying out his will and maintaining order in the Matoran Universe. Later, its members, the Makuta, turned to darkness and became a malevolent organization.

The Brotherhood of Makuta

The Brotherhood was created about the same time as the Order of Mata Nui. Led by Makuta Miserix, the initial purpose of the Brotherhood was to create biomechanical Rahi which would populate the Matoran Universe along with the universe's sapient species. However, they soon took on the tasks of settling major disputes and protecting the Matoran. Teridax later began thinking that it might really be possible for Mata Nui to be overthrown. Miserix soon decided to assign the Makuta to look over different regions. However, the Makuta were becoming disillusioned with their jobs; their work being ignored while Mata Nui received all the praise. Teridax, bolstered by information Mutran had gained, proposed a plan to undermine Mata Nui and become rulers of the universe. Some, including Miserix, were doubtful that the plan would succeed; but many more supported it and followed Teridax as the Brotherhood's new leader. Those who sided with Miserix were executed by Icarax and Gorast, though Krika showed mercy to Miserix himself and merely imprisoned him on Artidax. Next, the makuta stopped looking over the regions and formed smaller makuta groups watching over other islands together and sending information to Destral, the makuta base. The Brotherhood's first major act of treason was a raid on the island of Artakha, led by Makuta Kojol, stealing the Avohkii Mask of Light that could potentially be used against the Makuta. Activities since then were generally not publicized, and they still had reputations as guardians in many corners of the world.
Sometime later, everyone who went on the raid on Artakha was assassinated by the Order of Mata Nui, not including Makuta Kojol who got away. Sometime later, Kojol was knocked unconscious and forgot the whereabouts of Artakha. More importantly, the Brotherhood had lost the knowledge of the whereabouts of Artakha, and were never able to find it. The Brotherhood was waged war against the Order of Mata Nui and the their base Destral was accidentally teleported to a southern island called Gralloxx. The Brotherhood soon waged a small war against a small village called Ranyille. The Order of Mata Nui soon found the Brotherhood again and waged a new battle against them.

No. I made this creation to show some members of the Brotherhood of Makuta. I changed the colours to give the feel of creepiness of the makuta. Also the regular picture kinda looked to shiny and bright so i changed it.
