UNE "Stingray" Multi-Purpose Craft
About this creation
My entry for UNE Support Aircraft Contest. It is multi purpose craft, and it can be used as gunship, dropship or transporter. Stingray is MANTA with some developement for Low-Altitude missions, that makes Stingrays more like aircraft than spaceships. Stingrays have powerful engines, so it doesnt need wings. UNE has 10 Stingrays for every 500 soldiers.

Arnament:
4 Heat seeking Missiles
2 Minigun systems under cockpit

Engines:
2 Heavy Low-Altitude Jet-engines on back
2 Light boosters on sides

Capacity:
1 4x6 studs sized container
1 Pilot
3 Soldiers

History:
Stingrays are old models, that were founded in late 22th century. UNE's technics and designers started to develop Stingrays out of Mantas, and they came up with these Low-Altitude Multi purpose crafts. UNE has used Stingrays a lot because of its many possible usages. First models of Stingrays had lighter engines and small wings, but they developed these more, and got it for its final shape. Stingrays are powerful in battlefields, because they can carry 3 minifigs, 1 container and eliminate enemies in the same time!

I'm alive, and actually have the time to judge. Aesthetics - 8/10 - kinda plain, but a cool shape. Originality - 9/10 - never seen anything like it Colors - 5/5 Background Information - 5/5 Overall - 27/30

Nice work, the only problem I have with it are the stubby "wings". They just don't look right. 4 or 5 of these could escort two of my dropships. (Check it out, it's my entry for the contest.) http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/125687

I am enjoying the simplicity here. I suppose you could use some wedges around the cockpit instead of the tiles to clean it up a bit, but I'm not complaining.

Great, I wonder why few have commented on it. Interesting use of the thruster part to create an angled rocket pod, but the nose looks a bit unusual.
