Space Pirate
Standard infantry of the Space Pirate Confederacy after the 'phazon debacle'. Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of space-rum...
About this creation
YARR, THERE BE PIRATES HERE!

Yeah, as you can probably guess, this is a Space Pirate from the Metroid series; in a way.

By that I mean: it's based on the Prime series pirates, but it's also different.
It's immediately obvious as a Space Pirate trooper, but it's different enough to be a seperate subspecies; given the sort of variation between the games, it could easily be a pirate from, say, the sequel to Prime 3, after the pirates did the smart thing and abandoned that useless blue goop.

Not that Space Pirates are known for doing the smart thing...

I'm not going to do a lot of fantard garbage about the technical specifications of the Fusion II spacepirate armour; all I'll say is, it looks like it doesn't cover the entirety of the pirate.

One of the advantages of this pirate frame is that it's easily modified; I could clip rocket launchers to the shoulders, extra blades on the elbows, weapons, extra armour, all sorts really.

Yes, the back is bland.
Don't worry: the Flying Pirate fixes that.
I'm only taking the pics and posting it now because I wanted to make a Flying Pirate and I can't do that and post it if I make heavy changes to the frame before posting the original.

Yarr..

Yeah.
I'd bet that at least some of you did that; merrily walking about the Orpheon, scanning things, and then one of those 'dead' pirates props himself up and starts trying to kill you when you move nearby to have a closer look.

Okay, so by the time I'm writing this, I've already finished the Flying Pirate.
Elements of Prime there; I don't like the 'wings' and organic look of the Prime III Aerotroopers, so I'll be having the mechanical jetpack from Prime I.
Easier to convert into LegoŽ, too.

COMMENT SPACE FOR RENT!
CHEAP!

Aw nuts, I just noticed I forgot to put the hand on the right arm.
Ah well.
Hopefully no-one will notice.

Wait...

Nuts.

Quoting Connor Quinn hey, i've been playing metroid prime 3 at my friends house, and i am thinking of getting the Wii and the metroid prime trilogy.do you think i should? also, what are prime 1 and 2 like? i'm also, once my cameras fixed, planning on making a few of the characters from metriod prime, like dark samus and a few creatures like the first sub boss at elysia.do you have any tips for me.
If you can afford it. Well, they're really, really good. But not for someone who can't commit. If you play with the hint system off, for the first time, maybe two or three weeks of near constant playing to finish one? You'd definitely need to keep notes on what to do. Myself, I have them on the original console, but then, I didn't pay for the Wii so eh. Well, not really. I don't really pay much attention to the average moc beyond "it'd be great if I could make a-" and putting bricks together. I'd just say to keep trying.

Well, that's kinda what I meant about freaking out. I exaggerate a lot, so what I meant by "freak out" would be more of a little "woah... kinda cool!" and then moving on. I fell the same about having more splinter hive / valhalla areas, 'cause I think that they were very well done in the overall game. And I' not one of those people that only plays Metroid prime 3 and doesn't bother with the first two installments of the prime trilogy. I had all the original prime games on their respective systems, then sold them and bought the prime trilogy for the wii. And I still think that this is a great MOC.

Mm, I don't "freak out" easily. I can watch Bones and eat spaghetti at the same time, so eh. Wish there were more Splinter Hive/Valhalla type areas, they're... well, don't know how to describe them. Like them a heap, though. The Chozo Ruins and Torvus are pretty and all, but beauty doth not a game make. I don't think I've ever really been frightened by a game, though. Suddenly surprised/shocked into a storm of gunfire, yes. Scared, no. Well, maybe System Shock came close. And Silent Storm's interrupts can be a shock when you suddenly walk into a house full of machinegunners, and Random Encounters in general aren't good for the nerves, but...

lol- "Yeah. I'd bet that at least some of you did that; merrily walking about the Orpheon, scanning things, and then one of those 'dead' pirates props himself up and starts trying to kill you when you move nearby to have a closer look." Oh,of course. The first one that tried to do that made me jump and I accidently fired 2 very quick rockets at his face. you could say I put him out of his misery, because the scan data says that his legs and left arm are already broken. Still, serves them right for experimenting on parasites. oh, and one question. the next time you play metroid prime 3, and you have to assemble the threronian bomb, have a look at this. when you go into the Xenoreasearch chambers, look behind the glass at the back of the lift. you will see a dead skeleton of some random monster. take the lift down. when the lift stops, DON'T GET OUT.instead, turn around again. there is a different skeleton monster, and i know it's different because the scan is different. now look at it and keep completely still. you will see that this one is actually AN ALIVE SKELETON MONSTER. when i discovered this, i was so freaked out my jaw dropped. Tell me when you find this in MP3.

Awsome! I've almost finished Prime 2. And yes, I have walked up to the half-dead pirates who then start shooting me. Infuriating.

Quoting "Black Shadow" or Matthew Nguyen You do know that you can make the helmet, or give Samus a FEMALE face! That may look generic, but that head would fit men, not women, besides, there's another face for females, dual-sided too!
She DOES have a feminine face. I do not possess a doublesided she-head, nor would I use it if I had it because lipstick doesn't look right on it. I DO have the helmet made; it's in EVERY. OTHER. POSTING. OF. THE. SAMUSFIG.
