About this creation
What now? Another tower!
Hopefully I can make something a bit larger than just a lookout tower for BrickCon this fall, but for now we have to be content with a little path and studless rocks.
Which, I mean, isn't all that bad when you think about it. We could play the "how many 10x10 castle towers can you make without getting bored?" game. Yeah...I've kinda worn it out. A lot.
Which is why I'm resorting to fun photography to make it look nice. Ooh, and a cool tree. Bingo!
I did end up liking the look of the cobblestone road though. It's like a mini Dark Ages highway. And I'm gonna ride it all night long...
"Dibs on the next plump traveler that walks by!"
I don't know if you've noticed (highly doubt it), but in every single castle MOC I have posted this year, there is a frog. Whether it's bley or green, it's in there. Maybe I should call my personal Lego land: Frog Works. Eh, Shannon? =)
Now that I think about it, I have never seen Shannon Young make a skunk. What kind of rip-off is that?!? We want a skunk! We want a skunk! WE WANT...yeah, anywhoo...
Maximize this picture so it won't blow up in your face. I mean...for best results.
And finally, my buddy icon fig!!
The pictures included below are a bunch of WIP/failed ideas shots. Feel free to brows through all...four.
Well, I guess that's it. Now go play in the awesome sun! Which happens to be a rarity here in Washington...Or you could go sniff gasoline. Whatever suits you.
I actually prefer the path (which looks sweet) winding through the shade of multiple trees in the first WIP pic, and the receding parapets on the tower in the last one. Oh well, can't please everybody all the time.
Haha thats great my friend Im glad that you have fun criticizing Shannon Young for not making a skunk :) BUT ANYWHAYS..... the towers is good and your right I just like making 10x10 towers right? I mean it just never gets old :) Oh and nice cobblestone path :)
P.S. I keep a look out for those frogs ;)
I'll be straight to the point, the tower is excellent, and the rocks are superb. It is a great little build, but it has one major flaw. I have told this to Lee too before, I would like to see a little more environment detail present here. Both the tower and rocks looks great and have a lot of detail, but next to a landscape that lacks some detail it looks a little awkward. But overall it is pretty good. -Dylan
I like your WIP with the muliple tiers on the top of the tower. Kind of makes it look evil. You're trees keep on getting better as well. I think you're ready for a full blown castle (if you have the pieces)
This is very simple, very direct. I like it. The tree adds real balance to the layout. The layers of green in the tree are a little rough. Try to make it more of one large layer of green (and add more green if you have it). Attack!
The another tower design looks a lot more "evil", and the another road scene is maybe better. It has more trees and details, and I liked that. But the one that you posted, it looks great! The SNOT rock looks really nice, and the tower is good too!
