Sterling Knight is threatening me with a viciously expensive lawsuit unless I publicly identify him as originator and 50% shareholder in the Terraforge (TM) theme. Now that that's out of the way, the meat of my suggestion still stands, I think. Snow isn't land. It sits on top of land. To have the trail of grass/forest up higher than the snow seems odd to me. Unless... well, never mind for now. I'll wait for more information before I start thinking too deeply on it.
Yes, I read those threats. I hear he's taking it to the supreme court. The case will be known as "Shannon Young vs. Anonymous" (sounds unfair on you're part). It's all over the news. To be honest with you, Sterling originally posted "the first Terraforge MOC" as, like, an insane leprechaun driving a tree on steroids. They Chip Philson told him he should make it a theme, so Sterling's like, "check out mah awsum terrafoge!!!111!11" So it's true, we are both half founders, but he seems to come up with reasons to be THE founder. Oh, and those guidelines he wanted to send to you, I wrote. He's been dealing them out to people, though it took me a whole friggin' 45 minutes to write! >:( |

Very cool build! So, do you play the piano?
Oh, hehe ;) The background. Right. (When I first read this I was like, "What the heck?!?") Uh, yeah, I used to play. |

I'll second Chas and Kelso about breaking up the straight line of the grass path a bit and adding some isolated white for patches of melting snow... also, if you worked it so the grass was lower than the snow, it would make more sense as snow melting away, rather than a layer of grass overlaying snow, if you see what I mean. Food for thought for future Terraforge explorations. Each kind of landscape poses its own challenges and demands its own solutions, and I think the key to success is in skillful handling of where different terrain types meet. It's a great thematic concept, I look forward to seeing where you go with it.
Yeah... people are still kind of missing the point: it's not melting snow, it's an actual transformation of land. I don't blame you for not knowing: the whole theme is still unexplained. Sterling and I are still working on a group. That would be great if you were interested in it. I could send you some guidelines if you want. |

Meh. How does the snow melt like that? Conveniantly as the foresters are marching? It doesn't make sense.
The whole point of Terraforge is that a wake of land is left behind each faction as they walk. |

Very nice. I like the towing vehicle with the steam pouring out. To me the green section could use a few white tiles in select areas, to suggest melting snow...making the grass to snow transition a bit more believable. Nevertheless, a very well executed MOC and a cool idea. Well done! |

Nice MOC! I agree with Chas; the trail could be a little more natural looking, but those weeds really enhanced the quality a lot ^_~ I like the SNOT part.... it makes it genuinely look like ice. Maybe in the future, you could make the ice people could be more discreet (i.e. more icy boulders) so that'd it'd be more credible. Good diorama, though! |

Excellent job Dax! I would make the trail a little more unstraight, if you know what I mean. I have an idea for a Terraforge creation. I'll see if I can make it happen! |

Good job. Again, this is very expressive of your building style. I think that it could look a lot nicer with a more detailed forest border without a major decline of plant life. The vehicle is nice, but you still need to try and size up the situation a bit. Overall, this is a nice non-chaotic scene. P.S. Indy hats = FAIL.
