About this creation
I've been looking at too much Steel Battalion concept art.

This MOC is once again inspired by the artwork of Junji Okubo (Steel Battalion).

Pew pew!

I'm a man of few photos.

Here's the colorless version, VT Sabre.

Alternate guns.

Dali, I just invited you to a group called Moc Help. I made the group with the intent of members being able to share their mocs and give constructive criticism to others. I would really love it if you could join, as I know that many people would love to get tips from you, and everyone could use some improvement once in a while.

I love this thing. The overall design is excellent, and the weapons are fantastic too. Also, thanks for referencing the Steel Battalion concept art, it's awesome. If you made a set of this, I'd buy at least 2 in a heartbeat. Though I've said it before, excellent work Dali!

Hey, I saw your comment to Andrea(?) about making this a set. I have a feeling it would sell fairly well if you make it Customizable. Throw some pieces in there that are pieces of the actual Mech but in various colors. I notice this has Green pieces on it to maybe show a rank. I think you could sell multible to a single person if they come with the pieces to create Mechs of different Ranks, to build an army or something. Just a thought.

Hey Dali. I just realized that I haven't really been commenting on your stuff. I'm sorry about that. Considering the quality of the mechs you're turning out that's just about inexcusable. This mech in particular is probably my favorite of all of yours. The modular weapon is pretty sweet, but I'd have to say that my favorite part is simply it's build (I think that I may have to go take a look at Steel Battalion). Despite a number of comments that I've seen concerning them, the feet, shoulder joints, hip joints, and really the whole thing all just come together to create one of my favorite mechs out there (no lie). The is really and extraordinary (have you ever wondered about that word? Think about it. Extra + Ordinary. What would you logically think that means. You know? Maybe two wrongs DO make a right ;) build and as I said, one of my personal favorites. Also, another thing that I'd like to comment on is your excellent photography work. It's really a nice break from the countless fuzzy pictures of clone commando x (who, due to the photography, could be accidentally mistaken for a marshmallow). Keep on building ~ Nowhereman

As always, an awesome mech. I really love the Venus color scheme. The green, light blue and white look so clean and awesome. You see other mechs that are all cluttered and random colors and they look messy. Your Venus collective are the best! So are Phong Chang's of course.

Quoting Andreas Höttler That explains a lot...However, any news about your tank?

Quoting Andreas Höttler Actually, I wasn´t talking about the imagine, but about your image as Mr. Drunk-Creator...Wait is image, english? Oh well, I don´t know... Glad to see that you like your Venus Collective. ;)
I think the reason why I don't like Venus Savage is because I was drunk while I built it... that would explain the crazy body shape, too.

Quoting Andreas Höttler Hey Dali, I have something for you: LEGO is like alcohol, so more so funnier! And, do you like your new image?

Hey Dali, I've started looking through pictures of my family vacation to Europe, and I stumbled across THIS: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tobyhein/3553744398/ It's quite possibly the most amazing piece of graffiti I've ever seen. I just thought you and Phong might like to see it, and I'm inspired to want to make a humanoid meha just by looking at it. Nothing could ever truly do it justice, but whatever...

I think this is one of my best creations. I think the fact that it isn't humanoid throws people off.

Nice, pretty good. It's not your best work. The legs kind of bug me also, and a little greebly. But good. Overall I'd say it doesn't quite capture the look of VC we've come to expect. (Still better than anything I've yet posted) 4/5:)

Another great Venus MOC! I like how smooth the armor is. You realized that piece was missing after you had already uploaded the pics didn't ya?
  May 20, 2009
Hey thanks for that info, time to order a couple dozen of those :) The white is a good choice. White and crimson is one of my favorite color combos that I've used. I think it's cool to keep a base color and then just try out different trim colors. I checked out some of your fav mecha builders and the stuff they've built blows me away!

Quoting Cerberus Sigma Very cool, it's got a nice mobile, athletic feel to it. Love how you use those T handles to connect everything. Two ideas for ya. I know its color goes with the rest in the series, maybe try some pics with different color combos. Second, the weapons are cool as is but it would be neat to see some pics of different weapons setups. Swap out cannons and missiles etc. Just some ideas, overall this thing rocks! BTW, on Bricklink, what are those handles called?
I was considering different color combos, but I really think white (colorless) works best. Some different guns would be a nice idea, but I hardly have any small dark bley pieces left. The joints are called "T pieces" and they're under the Technic pneumatic category.

Quoting Cody G nice job. the arms *could* be a little more articulated, but I'm not one to talk. great build!
Same deal in my reply to Keith's comment. The shoulders are just meant to hold guns. No fancy arm appendages kthx.

  May 20, 2009
Great work here. The feet and lower legs work very nicely with the rest of the design, and the curved armor flows very well into the main body shape. My one tiny beef is that it feels like there should be more detail on the back-- it's not undetailed, but it just wants a tiny bit more, ya know? Fantastic work again Dali!

  May 20, 2009
Quoting Keith Goldman I find the arms below the shoulders to be dissapointing compared to the rest of it. It almost looks like two different builders worked on this MOC, one skilled, one average. Keep on buildin'.
Keith, this wasn't meant to be a humanoid mech, and I felt that arms are unnecessary. The shoulders are just there to hold the guns.
  May 20, 2009
It feels like I'm looking at a chicken walker but not. I wonder what it'd look like with its leg joint movement around the other way like a walker instead.....
