Easily, especially if the vehicle is SNOT. My Svantovit, for instance, () has one attached to the turret. Trouble is, it has some restrictions as to where you can put it because if it's too far from the hatch, the fig can't reach it, if the hatch isn't wide enough he won't be able to turn it, etc. etc. Buuut, every minifig vehicle machinegun I've ever seen has SOME limitations, and being able to go up and down as well as side to side makes it better than a robot hand with a rifle attached.
