EntertainMOC Tonight's 2009 Mocie Awards Red Carpet Preshow
About this creation
Each year, the MOCpages community comes together to cast their votes for the best of the best of the past year. Like the “Oscars” but for mocs. Now it’s your turn mocpages!

First, you do NOT vote here. Instructions on how and where to vote can be found at the end of this post in the fourth wall commentary section. If you don’t feel like suffering through all these horrible jokes, please feel free to click the link at the bottom to cast your votes for this years awards. Please pay attention as only properly submitted votes will be counted.

WARNING: Mature/Immature humor below. I would say, kids get your parent's permission before reading but heck, no one should have to read this garbage.

Live, from the Red Carpet at DarkSpawn Memorial Gardens, it’s EntertainMOC Tonight’s coverage of the second annual “Mocie Awards”

Richard: “Good evening everyone, I’m Richard Les here as always with Anita. Here to celebrate all the glitz, glamour and glory that is MOCpages stardom!”

Anita: “Please, no one’s called you “Richard” since the third grade.”

Richard: “Like you have room to talk Ms. Cox.”

Anita: “Well I never!”

Richard: “Maybe one day you’ll meet the right man and all that will change. In the mean time, let’s send it down to HeatherLEGOgirl who is on the red carpet tonight. Heather, how did you get the honor of working this prestigious event this year?”

Heather: “Well Dick, last year I mentioned to Chris that I would love to work the carpet for him this year. After a slight misunderstanding of what I actually meant and a brief explanation, he agreed to let me work the show this year.”

Heather: “Everyone who’s anyone will be here tonight Dick, and I’ll be doing my best to get in on all the action!”

Heather: “As you can see, the fans are here and we’re just waiting for our first celebrity sighting.”

Heather: “And here comes one now. It’s the organizer of tonight’s show, Chip Philson!”

Heather: “Wow Chip, looks like you pulled out all the stops for this years event.”

Chris: “I never pull out! Oh, you mean… yeah, looks great huh?

Heather: “I heard that one of your biggest fans was here tonight. She’s really excited to meet you.”

Chris: “Really? Where?”

Heather: “Right behind you.”

Fan: “AAAAAAHHH! I LOVE YOU CHRIS!”

Chris: “Oh dear lord! The horror! Wait, why does my left arm hurt?”

Heather: “Chip, watch out for the railing!”

Chris: “Oh my, what’s happening here?
Heather: I think he’s... Oh no… He’s dead.”

Chris: “Who’s dead?”
It’s Chip Philson, I think he had a heart attack.”

Chris: “No, no. That was just my stunt double. All the biggest celebrities have them. You gotta check for the sunglasses babe. That's the give away. Oh, and no hard feelings about that whole “working the carpet” thing right? I mean, you know I prefer hardwood floors anyway right?”
Heather: “Of course you do Chip. And the feelings were… semi hard I’d say. Anyway, enjoy the show and best of luck!”
Chris: “Thanks Heather. See you inside.”

Heather: “It looks like it’s going to be an interesting night here already. And, can we get someone to take this corpse away please?”

Richard: “Sure thing Heather. We’ll get someone down in just a few minutes. Who’s that with you now?”

Heather: “I’m here with master of lighting, Alex Eylar. Tel mee Allix, wat doo ewe thinc uf twonites sho?”

Alex: “ Oh dear… god… Too many… misspelled words… body going into convulsions… must… get… inside…”

Heather: “Injuy teh eevineng Allix!
Alex: “AAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!....”

Heather: “Sometimes it’s just too easy.”

Richard: “Well, let’s just hope that he doesn’t develop night sweats from that little encounter.”
Anita: “No Dick, you’re the only one who causes those around here. And I should know.”
Richard: “See, I knew you dreamt about me!”
Anita: “Ugh… so, who’s with you now Heather?”

Heather: “Well Anita, I’m being joined now by Dave Shaddix. Dave, what do you think of tonight’s events?”

Shaddix: “Are you kidding me? I’m not even on the freakin’ ballot! I’m only here because I already bought the suit and I need to make up for last years “after party” fiasco. Now if you’ll excuse me…”

Heather: “Wow… can’t please ‘em all I guess. No matter how hard you try. Isn’t that right Anita?”

Heather: “Oh hey everyone. It’s Brian Kescenovitz! Welcome to the show Brian. It’s good to have you here.”
Brian: “It’s great to be here Heather. I’m up for a couple of awards and I hear it’s an open bar after the show! So it’s all good.”

Fan: “Ohh Brian! I love you!”
Brian: “Hey there sweet stuff. How you doin?”

Heather: “Are you serious Brian? You do know she was after Philson a few minutes ago right?”
Brian: “Of course I do. And too bad for him. You did notice the lack of teeth right? Some places you have to pay extra for that! Score for me!”

Heather: “Wow, and I thought it would be Philson that would go that route. Oh well, guess it’s true that there is someone for everyone."

Heather: “Little does he know that that's actually Giovanni in drag. Guess he'll find out the hard way. Anyway, now that Brian is set with his date, I think I see Emperor Ludgonius coming.”

Emperor Ludgonius: “Are you the valet?”
Heather: “No, I’m the hostess.”
Emperor: Then go get me a twinkie.”
Heather: “Not that kind of hostess jackhole.”

Heather: “I mean, congratulations on your nomination tonight.”
Emperor: “Yeah yeah, take care of the kaduu will ya? And be careful, those things aren’t cheap. You do know how to handle one right?”

Heather: “Sure, I’ve been to Tijuana.”

Heather: “And who are you girls?”
Madam: “We’re tonight’s entertainment of course.”
Heather: “Oh, Chris didn’t bring back the MOCpages Interpritive Dancers for the intermission this year?”
Madam: “I don’t know, we’re here for the party afterwards.”
Heather: “Of course you are. I shoulda guessed.”

Richard: “Hey, I’ll take the fleshy!”
Anita: “Wow, I knew you were into some weird stuff but a fleshy? Really? Ok then, back to you Heather.”

Heather: “Oh my goodness. Ladies and gentlemen, and of course I use that term loosely, it’s MOCpages power couple, Dave and Stacy Sterling!”

Heather: “It’s great to see you guys! We’re so glad you could make it. Say Stacy, that dress looks very familiar. Where’d you get it?”

Stacy: “I’m not really sure. It was crumpled up on our floor the morning after last years after party. It looked nice, so I thought I’d wear it this year.”
Heather: “Ohhh, so THAT’S where I left it. I was wondering.”

Heather: “So, I hope to see you two at the after party this year.”
Stacy: “We’ll be there. Count on it.”

Stacy: “And don’t forget to bring that nicely curved microphone with you.”
Heather: “Are you kidding? This thing goes EVERYWHERE with me.”
Dave: “Sweet.”

Bib Fortuna: “The great Jabba the hut has a question about the price of tickets for this event.”
Heather: “Tickets are going for $50,000. No less.”

Jabba: “Nopayee fiftyahoo. Cramoup bungholee. Cheapo payee thumptyfi.”
Bib: “Jabba offers the sum of 35. And I do suggest you take it.”
Heather: “Whatever.”

Anita: “Wow Heather. It looks like a lot of activity down there right now. Can you tell us what’s going on?”

Heather: “I’m not entirely sure, but it looks like we have some very honored guests here. It’s Emperor Palpatine and Lord Vader. If you don’t mind my asking sirs, this seems like a lot of security?”

Palpatine: “Huh, these guys aren’t with us. We’re just here for the buffet and goodie bags.”

Vader: “So umm, Heather. After the show, you wanna see my lightsaber?”
Heather: “Does that line EVER work?”
Vader: “No, not yet.”
Heather: “Didn’t think so. Enjoy the show!”

Heather: “Well, we thought they would be the answer to the security question, but I guess it’s going to remain a mystery for now… wait, I think I see someone coming…”

Heather: “Yes it’s him! The one and only Mark Kelso! Tell me Mark, is this your security and… what are you doing with that wrench?”

Mark: “Well Heather, last year Chris’ guards got the drop on me at the end of the show. This year, I’m ready for them.”
Heather: “So, why did you choose stormtroopers as security?”
Mark: “These guys are just here to annoy Shannon Young. See ya in the show!”
Heather: “Thanks Mark. See you inside. And speaking of Young, here he comes now.”

Shannon Young: “ARRRRRGGGHHHH!!! Star Wars Geeks! RRRUUUUUNNNNN!!!!”

Heather: “And there he goes. But I think I see Shannon Ocean coming as well.”

Shannon Ocean: “Wait for me Youngy! If we remain separated for longer than 3 minutes at a time, people will learn how to tell us apart!”
Heather: “Never mind then… But man, I LOVE that accent. Even if he is running after another man screaming like a little girl.”

Heather: “Well guys, that looks like that’s it from the carpet. See you inside for the 2009 Mocie Awards!”

Richard: “Thanks Heather. You really know how to work that carpet.”
Anita: “Haven’t you worn that joke into the ground yet Dick?”
Richard: “Not nearly Anita… not nearly. See you all at the awards show!”

Fourth Wall Commentary: It’s that time of year again MOCpages. Time for you to decide who’s the best of the best of the past year. A few months ago, I created a group for the 2009 Mocie Awards and began asking who you thought deserved the honor of “best in show.” The response was great and now, the final ballot has been narrowed down and we’re just waiting for your votes.

Click the link here to go to the 2009 Mocie Awards group. From there, click on the “How and where to vote for the 2009 Mocies” thread and follow the instructions there. The group is open to anyone who wants to join so get over there and cast your votes! Thanks MOCpages, and GET VOTING! ~ Chris.

yeah... the jokes here are pretty bad. Nearly as bad as the build itself. What I want to know Chris is how many cases of tiles you order every day from PaB... I guess, Chris, I'd have to tell you just to keep trying. The results haven't been pretty so far, but its REALLY fun to watch.

Quoting Keith Goldman Congratulations Phipson, you've created something almost as useless as the Academy Awards. Celebrity worship (check), ignoring work from lesser known "artists" (check), Cheesy stage (check), annoying MC (check), and like the real awards show it goes on way too long. Well, I guess this is what you do when you can't build very well.
Exactly... but not all of us have a Legoratory to work out of... HAHAHAHA

1. I actually got the magnet set for the Mace Windu fig. I mean come on... it's Sam Jackson! 2. Thank you *bows* 3. Yes I am. Through and through. 4. It enflates his already legendary ego. It's what all the big stars do when they become famous. Then, when they're broke and forgotten and all their friends have left them, they can slip into obscurity quietly. So will it be with the great kelso. 5. That wasn't me, that was my stunt double. If I'd have known, Kescenovitz would have had no chance with her! 6. Saving you for later.

Yeah, I do my best to hide all the studs on my creations just so Kelso doesn't get overly excited when he takes it the wrong way. You understand of course (Man, I should really start picking on someone else here... maybe Sterling or Dennis Price should be next on the hit list).

Besides the convulsions of laughter (and the toothless babe), you built a solid red carpet for the nominees to strut upon. Great stuff all the way around.
