The Venator-Class Star Destroyer, also known as the Republic Attack Cruiser, was a capital ship used in the Grand Army of the Republic. Designed and constructed by the Kuat Drive Yards, this ship was created for ship-to-ship combat, but also served as a starfighter carrier, military transport, and battleship escort.
About this creation
After quite a bit of tinkering and building, I have finally finished my mini Venator-Class Star Destroyer. I personally think that it came out great and am very pleased by the result. Take some time, if you wish, to scroll through the numerous pictures I have provided for your entertainment and inspiration!

This is the other side of the Venator, at an angle. Purely for picturesque value.

This is the right side of the Venator. It gives you a general overview of the entire ship. Something to notice are the little greebles sandwiched between the upper and lower plates. Though I will go into detail on them later, take note of the engines in the back and the bridge. Blue hanger bay doors are located under the starship's turrets.

This is a left side shot of the Venator. Similar to the last picture, it gives another general view of the starship. It is nearly identical to the right side.

The bridge of the Venator. Not much to say about it, it's more of a 'see for yourself' sort of thing. At the bottom of the picture are the turrets.

The engines. Getting the back fin and the bottom of the bridge to dovetail together was actually extremely difficult with the method and pieces that I used. However, I eventually found an effective solution. Anyway, two main engines and four smaller ones power this starship.
The back wings are emblazoned with the republic-red colors.

The engines at an angle to give a different view of them. There is not much else to say here.

A more frontal view of the starship, it shows a bit more detail in the bridge, among other things.

Now at this point, some people may be scratching their heads and saying, "Isn't the red stripe a single stripe, not a cross?" The answer to the question is simple. Yes, but I think the cross looks neat. Yes, it's true, the Venator does have one straight stripe, but compare the two pictures and decide what you think is the better look.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For all of those wondering what that thing under the ship was, here it is. It is simply a low-to-the-ground stand.

So, to wrap it up, I thank you for looking and reading through. I hope that you enjoyed yourself to the extent of however exited you get from looking at pictures of LEGO creations. As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated and encouraged.
I made an LDD version too! Check it out here.

Just throwing this out there. A new model is in the works. The shape is definetly going to be fixed and I'll be able to squeeze in four antenna turrets on each side with the slightly larger size. A few size specs are in my LDD model. I'm probably going to be able to slant the sides, which is my primary goal with the V2 model. Keep an eye out for it. |

Very cool! It's a bit too thick and blocky in the front though, but nice. |
