Pauk (Zagrebparking truck)
About this creation
In Croatia we don't have tow trucks to take away falsely parked cars, but we have trucks as this one.

A crew of two for each unit, wearing blue uniforms and "notice me" vests over.
A camera for taking evidence of false parking is mandatory.

The cabin goes off easily to seat a minifig.

Here are some general pictures of the truck.

The tiny outriggers in action.

The machinery.
I really wanted the platform to have a texture of some kind, and tiles, grill tiles and studs are sooo out so I went with plate underside. I hope it works.

Some action shots.
I didn't include a car being taken away 'cos I couldn't make a nice one.
But it can take away cars, honest!

I tried to fit it to scale of current City trucks and still have neat details.
Hope I've made it.

Here's the reference. (I couldn't find any better photos, sorry.)

Thank you!

Excellent job! I tried to build one of these a couple years ago and failed miserably. And I hate to disappoint you, Phipson, but we actually DO have something like this in the US. It's called the Speedcrane: http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/a66260c2eafe025389778b040731b5231b2694b6.pjpg I think this build deserves a revisit from me!

Quoting Rafael Quintal Really nice, love how you made the arm with the chains. All you gotta do now i put an image with it carrying a car.
Thanks. I was too lazy to build a nice car for it to carry and it's been a long time since I've taken it apart so it's not gonna happen.

Great work on this thing man. But you reall could have used a car to show it working. Also, use decals to add up even more details. Bye.

Great work. The back yould use a little work. I don't like the upsidedown plate. The front is perfect. Keep it up.

Yeah I agree with Phipson about the mechanism of this truck, it's very clever, and you made a clever replica as well, very realistic putting in mind this small scale, but the only thing that I would suggest is a 1x1 transparent for the heads instead of the 1x2... still a great effort though... keep on the great work >>> peace.. You know, this is a much better design than American tow trucks. Over here, they need room to get the truck in front to take the car, here, you can do it from the side. Nice recreation you've done here. Hope they didn't take your car and that's what gave you the idea to build it! ~ Chris.

Very nice creation. Really reminds me of the real thing. I'm lucky it never got a hold of my car. ;)
