"MOCking About": Combo: CIS Knife Strider
Knife Striders leap across battlefields, using their lazer arrays to cut enemy battalions to ribbons.
About this creation
The knife strider is made from only peices of this model, and this model

Knife Striders were crated by CIS manufacturers during the clone wars. They serve a horribe dual purpose in battle:

With their large thermal cannons, these droids root themselves in the ground, and fire constantly into enemy ranks from behind the main force of the CIS infantry. If anything gets too close, the intricate array of laser blasters positioned around the droid's body quickly cut down whatever is nearby.

The other purpose is a very grim and disgusting one. Once a battle is over, the striders will leap off into the feild of scrap and corpses, and spear any survivors with their knife-like forelimbs. They have highly sensitive Vital scanners, to search for living bodies under wreckage. These droids are often the last thing a clone ever sees.

This panel on their back is blaster proof, grenade proof and even lightsaber proof. It protects the most vulnerable circuits.

And, if one is damaged too much in a battle, the two pressurized vials on its back will explode, exposing any injured troopers to a horrendous flesh-eating virus.

It does, however, have its weak points. Knife Striders are not the most nimble of droids, and often get their arms stuck in things, or collapse on a bit of tricky terrain.
Their communication arrays are less powerful than with most droids, to make room for the life-scanners, and it is not uncommon for them to wander out of signal range. Also, a good yank with The Force, and they fall apart completely. They are also extremely expensive to produce, so are only used in the most important of battles, or when a new weapon has been used, and the CIS want to keep it a secret from the Republic.

But are they any match for a giant plasma 'nade...?

Done!!! 2 Questions: Will you tell me more about MAOX, because I've looked at the group, and it doesn't make much sense? Can I add B-57 Achilles. I haven't decided whose side the marines are on yet :)

Quoting Thanatos the Toa of Necromancy So the back of the Strider is made of Cortosis*? *Cortosis is the only metal that a lightsaber can't cut through. Its properties are such that the lightsaber is also rendered temporarily useless.
Yes, or possibly Phrik alloy. I got a star wars encyclopedia for my birthday, for some reason .

Quoting Thanatos the Toa of Necromancy Hey Gringat, this is in response to your comment on Yee's Rocket Angel. Everyone is good at their own thing. I am skilled with using set bodies as custom torsos are not my style. The question is: What are you good at?
I don't know yet... I'm being zen right now. Trying all kinds of stuff that could work... Trying to find my inner MOCer and all that =]

Quoting Thanatos the Toa of Necromancy Ever played Half-Life 2? 'Cause this reminds me of a Strider.
Unfortunately, no. This is, in fact, rather inspired by this droid from KotOR.
