About this creation

This should look familiar for the AC COBRA-lovers...

Some tools in the trunk because, let's face it, it's an Oldtimer...

je n'ai aucune idée de quoi tu parles, la voiture est fait exactement comme sur les plans. Soit dit en passant, merci pour le compliment, j' espère de voir quelques de votre creations dans un avenir proche...
Quoting Hot Rod She's very impresive, but I just noticed, she' s a little to longer, just between the front wheels, and the indscreen, only this 2x2 piece... Now, I really think it's an awesome AC Cobra, and it's only my point of view.

Quoting Ape Fight the rear overhang being too large
Hi, thanks for the nice comments everyone, and a special thanks to Bricksonwheels who "put me in the spotlight". The overhang of the car is about 3 plates think, and is a bit larger than reality, but was necessary to achieve some roundness at the back of the car. I actually tried about 17 different options there and this whas the smallest and smoothest version, and allowed to centre the lights on the right spot... Allthough i try to make the car as close as possible to the real thing, sometimes i allow myself some creative freedom in order to make the model look good on itself :) en voor de nederlandstalligen onder jullie, bedankt voor jullie reacties, ik ben een Belg (AAAAAaaaaah!!!) en ik probeer een filmpje te maken wanneer ik er tijd voor heb (binnenkort verlengd weekend, joepie!) maar ik ben ondertussen begonnen aan een volgend project die qua vorm nog een heel stuk ingewikkelder is dan de cobra... keep the reactions coming!!!

This is so nice : ) All the little details, of which there are too many to list, add up to make a stunning creation. There are a few little imperfections, like the rear overhang being too large (I think), but overall this is a truly awesome model. Power functions just makes it even better! 10/10 : ) To J.W (below) that's a pretty inventive Rod you've got there on Brickshelf. I hope you add it to MOCpages :

Wow, this thing is great! I polished one of these (a Dax replica) for over a year, and I must say, you´ve recreated it very nicely. Maybe the rear overhang is a little long, but other than that, brilliant! Are you Dutch by the way? (I am) 5/5!

I cant say anything bad about this I love it windshield is a tad small for large scale but curve on wheelwells is amazing by the way go to brickshelf search drag once there click on the first next button on top than click agin than locate the file with a red open doar with a racing seat inside and click on it now please help I cant figure out how to put pics on here which stinks since I wanted to be in ape fights hot rod club so bad I put this on your cobra since lots of people will be looking at this ps the drag rod is my first large scale custom technic car I built to me it is my best yet I want the 4x4 set so I can make something with pf so heres my problem I got the pics up but could onley put eight and they wouldent upload I like brickshelf for user friendlines but you cant review creations and I know that one of the first purpose built drag race rods would get good reviews so go check out my ride the onley one in my folder until I get more technics I hope ape fight puts you in his club keep the heat on fofo he will need to step up the game after this oh very beautiful shelby which I think you could consider a hot rod right?any help welcome peace jrodder!!hey post a vid on youtube of this in action!

Quoting Marin Stipkovic I like the added pictures, so awesome with the seat-belt and all the extra details. And it's also Power Function-ed, wow!
Thanks, i like building cars with powerfunctions, it can get pretty challenging sometimes to find space for them, getting the technical part (gears, steering,...) right and making sure they don't get in the way for other features like moving pistons and such...The hardest part is that you have to have a strong chassis, otherwise the power of the electric motors just tears it apart... The Ford Rockster was my tryout, everything is much more compact and functional with the AC Cobra, and it looks like my next MOC is getting even more complicated... Can u say dual engines, four wheel drive and four wheel steering?

wow, ok, thanks you guys (are there any female lego-enthousiastics on this site by the way?)thanks for the reactions, keep them coming, i'll try to keep up, i'm taking some more pictures tonight, some videoclips of the AC cobra and the Ford rockster in action might follow later... and what is wrong with the exhaust? its's perfect scale and angle except of course for the huge hole at the end of it :) some chrome might have been nice but those only come in 90° angles and they're a bit fragile to drive around (and bump) with, so... any suggestions?

finally, 2 days of building and one month of waiting for parts, here's my all-times favourite car, the Ford shelby AC COBRA, in this case the race-version because 1) I needed some place to hold the battery and 2) I didn't want to put a heavy-looking windscreen on it... more pictures to come when my batteries are reloaded, it has quite some features you can't see on these pics yet
