The Cobra is another one of my oldies. I suppose I don't really build like this anymore, but I thought I'd put it up here, see what you think.
About this creation
The Cobra is mainly used as a fast gunship. It can be used in high orbit or oxygen free planets, but not in deep space.
First thing anyone notices about the Cobra: it's many, many weapons can get you good.
It has:
- four movable turrets with a total of sixteen laser guns, which can be fired simultanously when needed,
- four plasma guns under its belly,
- eight air-ground rockets,
- four air-air rockets,
- two small EMP transmitters (nose-mounted),
- two large long range ballistic missiles
Some more stats:
- Scale: minifig
- Length: 14.65 metres
- Width: 15.2 metres
- Height: 4.3 metres
- Engines: three RepulsoLift engines (independantly maneuverable), one small VTOL RepulsoLift engine on the belly, two back-mounted turbo booster jets
- Shielding: two shield generators
- Personnel: two
Here you see a side view of the Cobra on its landing gear. They're basically four aerodynamic blades that fold under the wings.
Ooooh. Engines. Movable ones! Sorry about the shitty pictures all. (These are all I have, and since I've moved house after I built this, it's been scrapped a long time ago.)
Cockpittage. The guy in the back has four modern control panels. I thought it would be funny if the man in front would also have some old school gauges and levers.
Top view. But you'd already noticed that. I like how the shape of the wings turned out. Basically, I accidentally did it right in one go.
"Yeah, what was that? No, we'll just be hovering here until you remember what it was you just said about our glorious leader, okay?"

I think you should send this to CUUSOO.com, if you get enough supporters on it they'll evaluate it and possibly produce it (LEGO, that is) you'll get 1% of the sales as credit for designing it. Also I'd really like a few of these

The color scheme has an old-school classic LEGO feel which I like. The weapon arrays are pretty amazing (Sixteen laser guns!) and very well animated in the title photo. Nice work. |

Ah yes. Edited. At first, I though you wanted the whole text translated into Dutch or something, but then I noticed. I really need to remember this ;) Cheers. As I said, it's an old ship and no longer around to make changes. If it was, I would certainly try to make some other engines, as I'm not too impressed with them now either. |

Thanks. The neon-yellowish aren't the lasers. The lasers live inside the ship, and jump right out when the gunner pulls the trigger ;)
