The Nighthawk II fighter bomber is a reworked version of the The Nighthawk orbital scout craft employed by the Brickton military.
About this creation
In preparation for going to my first Brickworld, I pulled one of my first space-type MOCs off the shelf and gave it another look. Actually, I was suprised I still had it together because I normally tear everything down after getting pictures.

A quick discussion with Chris Phipson about landing gear got me thinking about beefing this thing up a bit and here's the final result: The Nighthawk II fighter bomber. In addition to armament, I broke up the flat bottom I had previously with some reverse slopes -- I was sort of going for a stealth fighter type of look here.

Here's the official line from the DDog Corporation, primary contractor for all Brickton Military vehicles and equipment:
Capable of operating near the planetary surface as well as in interplanetary orbit, the Nighthawk is equipped with a pair of tachyon laser cannons. This particular vehicle is fitted with a DDog Corporation SHFRE Planet Cracker guided bomb. We drop one of these pups in your lap and it's a bad day for a continent!
(Yeah, yeah, I know -- there are shades of Dr. Sinister's work here. If you're going to steal, steal from a master!)

This last shot was taken with the intention of dressing it up in photoshop. I'll get around to it maybe later on this week. On a side note, you should be aware that photographing an almost all-black creation up close is difficult to do under the lights, but for what I want to do (thanks to some tips from the Grand Admiral over on Flickr) this is perfect.

Lol, I can imagine we touched a nerve there with all those horses then :P Glad you still like the MOC though :) Great starflier, btw! The simple yet awesome shape gives it a proper 10/10 on any day. That's a great design, especially for a first attempt, must have been fun designing. Have fun @ Brickworld mate ;] Cheers! |
