About this creation
Nature in all of it's glamour. The stairs are brown, the flowers are in bloom, life is flourishing.
The studless pier. A nice touch if I do say so myself.
Floral details.
Industrial side.
The pier, covered in studless control pieces.
Pile of guns, representing war.
Holy oil spill Batman!
Overall view of my little scene.
=============
-This was inspired by a Powerpoint we saw in Science class on Wednesday, about the beauty of the Earth, and of what we humans are doing to it.
-I also made this moc to show what humans are doing to the Earth. One side represents nature, the other represents an industrial age, where nature is seldomly seen.
Now, for some other news-
Geonosis is on the brink of completion. Should be done by May 10, uploaded by May 25.
My Venator is currently about halfway completed. It was almost finished, but, let's just say I wasn't being careful. It should be done sometime in May, (probably Mid May), and it should be uploaded in the first week of June, unless I finish ahead of schedule, which, in that case, it will be late May.
Anyhow, I appreciate you guys checking out my little Earth day Tribute, hope you enjoyed.-Tom

this is true.. really good job... at Niagra Falls, on the canadian side, it is natural and looks like the natural side, and on the New York side, it is more of a tourist attraction. and looks sorta like the other side... this is cool.... |

Though I feel it is being over-stated these days, your message is wonderful. You should make the "evil" water all murky. |

At Fed and John: Humans are not speeding up the process. The 'Global Warming' theory is based on carbon emissions, but carbon is one of the most quickly decomposed materials. Humans are not wasting and expending our resources, they are altering the environment. The resources will always be there, but humans are merely to fearful to see such a thing. By time we die, the resources will already be back in place. And John, an ice age doesn't have a regular pattern to follow. It occurs anytime the currents are heated to where the Earth has to release ice flows. So your comment is out-of-whack. |

This is a really great moc, not only because of it is great, but because of it portrays what we are doing to this planet. We should slow down industry. We alone have vanquised many creatures from Earth. Things must change.
Soz, just a little chunk of my "save the Earth" side coming through. It is something I care about. |

Nice MOC and representation. Excellent work with the piers and industrial accents. But, I say "Bah!" to GW! The Earth has a set temperature gauge and will naturally do so even if humans were not here. The planetary cycle continuously creates increased temperatures, and so the planet counteracts those with inserting ice into the ocean, etc. Take for example Europe's Little Ice Age. Humans were not at their peak in industrial manufacturing, but the planet was indeed in a temperature turmoil. So, it acted upon by increasing ice production. No, the Earth is not an organism, but it does have a means of homeostasis. |

Cool! I like it and let me guess... in school there teaching you about the envirement and we need to take care of it and then scare you with global warming they do that to us at my school too. Sadly global warming is real though and a growing problem....
Well, i'm in 8th grade, so we learned about the environment years ago. They just showed us a powerpoint of some cool pics of nature.
And yes, global warming is a problem. |
