Screw Attack vignette
I've always wanted to make a Metroid-Style corridor, and when I decided to make a Ripper II (credit goes to Toby Heinemann for the idea of making it), I had to make an environment. The first area that came to mind was the area in Norfair where the Screw Attack is obtained, so I built it! Enjoy!
About this creation

A close-up of the creature that inspired me to make this whole creation, the Ripper II!

The rock wall was easy to build, and I think it looks great! The door, on the other hand, took forever! I'm very satisfied with the outcome, except for the fact that the door is yellow instead of blue (I couldn't find a blue 8x8 circle), but that's a minor complaint.

Samus approaches the Chozo Statue holding the Screw Attack! The Chozo Statue took a very long time to build, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm also happy with the Screw Attack, although the circle is black instead of purple (sorry again, I didn't have any purple pieces).

I spent hours building this, and I think it turned out well! It almost looks like a movie scene up close, but the pictures' blurriness kinda ruins it. When I get a new camera, this will be the first creation I will redo the pics for!

Quoting Commander Spencer Hew Mingo, did you see my chozo statue?
Yeah, it looks great, very creative use of parts! And it was posted on my birthday, too! Can't wait for more Metroid creations from you.

Quoting Mandalore the Creator Any time! Love to see classic nintendo games turned into awesome lego scenes and characters.
I built another Metroid scene, due to the positive feedback on this one. I just got a digital camera, so I'll hopefully be able to upload some high quality pictures, rather than pics using my Mac's camera. I won't spoil what the scene is, but trust me, it won't disappoint!

Quoting Mandalore the Creator Great work! I can tell you put a lot of hard work into this! The chozo statue came out really nicely. (That design for Samus is still the best.) Awesome!
Thanks Mandalore, always appreciate your comments!

Quoting Areetsa C Ah yes, the S.A. from Zero Mission. I think the statue isn't really great, but seeing as it's probably the first I've ever seen, I suppose it's rather difficult. I'd like to see you try a dio of Maridia, from Super Metroid; your skill for environments should be well suited to that place.
Yeah, it was pretty difficult. I'm pretty happy with the statue, except I think the head could be better. I'll try to find a better design. Also, I'll consider making Maridia, thanks for the idea! If I do, I'll give you some credit.

Quoting Toby Heinemann Great job! As Nowhereman said, there aren't too many 2-d metroid vignettes out there, so this is a nice treat. The Ripper II design you used is pretty accurate, and the only thing I could say I dislike overall is the blurriness of the photos. Using the tan 8x8x1 parabolic dish to represent a Power Bomb door is genius, and the overall presentation is very nicely done. Keep it up! (My Zoomer dio will be done soon, but I'm posting my new mech right now...)
Thanks, can't wait to see your Zoomer dio! As I said before, I have a pretty bad camera (the one built into MacBooks), so when I get a new camera I'll repost. By the way, that door isn't actually supposed to be a power bomb door: I couldn't find a blue version of the piece, so I had to choose between the tan curved piece, or a black flat piece, and the tan color kinda fit in with the scenery (as you said, because it looked like a power bomb door from Zero Mission). But thanks anyway!

Quoting Nowhere man Great vig! The chozo statue looks great and I like the whole thing. A few of the only improvements I could suggest is a little more detail on the background and less studs. It's really a great vig though and, to my knowledge, the only in-game 2-d metroid one. Therefore making it the best. Keep on building ~ Nowhereman
Thanks for the comment. I might add some tiles to make it have less studs, if I can find any of the right sizes.
