it s bizarre, I thought I commented this before, as I saw this beauty long ago, it s always been my best, at the time, I figured that I never could build this nice a truck, things change, and today, I could, it s too bad the pic does nt zoom, and you posted small, as for any fire truck I have seen, this one is the one I d like, I just LOVE the wheels how they are, it s kind of racy, and sleek, it s awesome!

Good point. Unfortunately, bringing the wheels in offers less space in the cab.
See some of my more recent MOCs which use the smoother tires that offsets some of this problem. I also have some 7-wide vehicles that solve this problem.
Thanks for the feedback!

I have always wondered why the wheels on your trucks stick out far beyond the sides of the trucks. These look so out of place on what otherwise are very nice trucks. Using a Modified 2 x 2 Brick with Pins and Axle Hole (part 30000) would solve this problem. It looks like you are using a Modified 2 x 4 Brick with Pins (part 6249). Using the 30.4 x 14 Offset Tread Tires really helps with the overall look of the trucks, but they need to be flush with the sides. |

This truck is just stunning! In fact, it inspired me to build a mid-mount ladder of my own, in 8-wide. I am just a huge fan of all your work! |
