The sixth and penultimate section of my WIP.
About this creation
I think this part is one of the most significant parts, and also very important: The wings! Okay I know the disrupters are missing, but they would be the last section before the great finale.
The construction of this section wasn't very complicated but it needed a lot of time for this wing-plumes-however-you-would-call-it pattern.
I'm really hoping that i get a good render for the final model, so you can see the pattern really good and also the contrast of the color scheme. I added for this an isometric view, but the wing is so big that the half of it is very dark...*sigh*
In addition: The first bets for the final count of pieces will be now accepted! ;-)
We want YOUR bet!!!

Dorsal view.

Ventral view (My favourite view).

...To be continued...
A small teaser on the final model! (unrendered and not completed)

Excellent! Good work. I love huge models :-)
If it is more than 20,000 bricks you should split it in parts. I did not get models rendered with more than 20,000 bricks using POVray. File conversion to 3DS results in very very large files and so this does not work either.
Keep up the great work. I wanna see more ! |

Win. It's so huge, you should add up the cost total if it's a LEGO rendering program. |

I hate trying to render, but when someone who knows how to do it does....it can become a true work of art. Coming along awesomely so far my man. Oh and there are 40,013 pieces in this beastie. |

Almost there! I'd have to go with around 40,000-50,000 pieces, although my first guess would be 70,000. |

Das Muster auf den Flügeln sieht toll aus. Das ganze Modell wirkt dadurch sehr authentisch! Ich schätze es sind 39749 Steine |
