FX-Predator Series Combat Tank
The FX-Predator Series Combat Tank was designed by Rothana Heavy Engineering as a predecessor to the TX-130s Tank during the mid Clone Wars. This was my entry for the June 2008 CABG Hovertank Contest.
About this creation
The FX-Predator Series Combat Tank was built for the CABG Hovertank Contest back in June of 2008. I did not have access to photoshop then (or proper camera techniques) so please forgive me for the poor quality shots- I tried to fix 'em up a little. So without further ado a full shot of the tank.

Front shot of the tank. I recall I was on a short deadline to complete the my entry for the contest (of which I later won :P), and as I threw parts together I started to get the resemblence of a predecessor of the TX-130s Tank and liked it.

The side greebled part was probably my favorite part of the tank. It consisted of swords and droid arms, which actually turned out quite cool. They were built as an intake area for the repulsorlift engines located directly behind them.

Another side shot of the tank.

More resemblence to the TX-130s can be seen in this back hatch portion. Perhaps it opens up to store supplies or it covers the engines. I didn't think that far through so you decide ;)

On either side beneath the engines two flick-fire concussion missiles pop up.

They can be lowered down and almost completely hidden...

...then popped up for play! I design my mocs to not only be as scaled, accurate, and detailed as possible, but also very playable.

Top view of the tank. Towards the front there are two twin heavy laser cannons which provide supreme firepower on the battlefield.

Beneath the tank lie 12 repulsorlift engines, as well as two battering rams projecting out the front. With the tank's quick speed the rams could barge into enemy vehicles and units, damaging or destroying them.

The cockpit was also one of my favorite parts to build in the tank. Lined with the finest huttlet skin harvested outside the mid-rim territory, this vehicle is without a doubt one of the most luxurious in the Republic's hands.

In fact, 32/36 troopers who were polled in active GAR platoons said that they hope to one day pilot one of these hot chick 'Twi'lek magnets'.

CT-4432 "Look another Super battle droid!"
CT-8147 "Easy pickings! Let's get him!"
Unit 0S98 "Oh no."

CT-8147 "Wooo00000oooo! This is much better than a cup of jawa juice!

No only is the FX-Predator Series Combat Tank extremely effective at cutting down enemy B1 units on the battlefield, but also is a major boost to troop moral and spirit in hopes of one day being promoted to pilot one of these babies.

Humaniods and non-humaniods of the Galactic Republic, we proudly give you the FX-Predator Series Combat Tank, to help keep the peace and restore diplomacy in this war-torn galaxy!
