LCH-7 Light Strike Hoverdyne
Hovering cavalry with a surplus of armour and thunder-sticks aplenty.
About this creation
The Empire as a faction has always been focused on fast, slashing raids and the occasional vicious frontal assault as a knockout punch.
Ambushes are also favored, as are booby traps.

Defensive fortress building is liked by some commanders, also, but less common.

The LCH-7 is perfectly adapted for the swiping attacks favored by most commanders, being fast, agile and tolerably armed. It also has sufficient armour to protect it against small threats of similar size and below.

It is very fast, only slightly slower than the 'Gecko', and is able to slide in various directions with ease, strafing around a larger, slower opponent while pecking it apart with a continuous barrage of 20mm armour piercing incidenary rounds from its twin nose mounted autocannon.

It carries a large amount of ammunition in the front, along with the autocannon and some vectoring controls.
Its twin ZAE-32 autocannon are in a fixed mount, but given the extreme agility of the LCH, that's not exactly a pressing concern; having them in flexible mountings would only make the pilot's job harder.
Controlling a bucking hoverdyne is difficult enough without the added stress of moving a pair of cannons about.

Yeah, bet you didn't think a vehicle this short could carry a pilot in a traditional sitting position, did you?

Actually, it's not a traditional seat, as this pic shows: it's actually one of those recessed six-plate high components usually used as window panels.

The pilot fits, although he has to be leaning fowards a bit and the canopy is either sticking up a bit or not entirely attached in the back.

I myself think that it looks a bit like an old fashioned luxury car in the front; like a space rolls-royce.

Anyway, here y'are, Ackroyd: ya wanted to have a look at it, here it is.

I think the flat sides give it an advantage, as if it needed wings they'd be a prime target to get shot at. Very well done, your description fits the vehicle perfectly.

Quoting Commander Fed Nice work with using SNOT but my only complaint is that the sides are just to strait and it makes it look like a block. If you were to fix that it would be even better!!!
I would have used a ladder piece for texture, but it didn't look right; it's supposed to be a mix between a blocky, armoured shape and a sleek foward section, sort of 'dawn-forge' like, if you know what I mean.

Quoting Clan Father Erik Ackroyd Nice work. This seems like an aristocratic luxury transport, but with a deadly touch of weapons. Overall, I think the roof of the craft is my favorite part; I don't know why though. All-in-all, this is interesting.
Well, truth be told, I was just fiddling with parts, trying to create a nice looking front for a propeller driven aircraft; this could just as easily have ended up with a twin-pronged nose or a flat lump. The roof? Well, the segment on the back was rather difficult, mostly because I wanted it to end up mostly smooth.

Quoting GooGoo GaGa The Great u should build a mountain fortress they r really fun to build... but hard
I don't doubt it; I've been experimenting with brickbuilt landscapes lately, and I think I can pull off that Norfair dio fine, but Brinstar, on the other hand...
