About this creation
A few of you have been asking, what the heck is Chris bringing to Brickworld? Well, here's your answer! Some of it any way. These four wips are part of a much larger project that is in the works right now. I plan on adding about 9 or so more builds to this (some of which are done, but I don't have pics of them yet) Now, without futher ado, on with the pics...

This was the first one I built for this project. The greebs on the side are not what's going to be in the final product, I just threw some stuff on there to remind myself to make it... good. Also, at the suggestion of one Mr. JD Luse, I'll probably be making the undercarage not so... flat. Oh and in answer to your next question, no, I didn't have to pay royalties to Emperor Ludgonius for the design.

This little Mech was the second piece I built. For those that were paying attention in previous posts, this is what I needed those parts for. I know it doesn't show well in the pics, but I really like how the "scales" on the back turned out. You'll just have to show up in June to see that it really does look better in person.

This little thing here is going to get completely torn down and redone. The concept is there but I just don't like the scale and how it turned out in general. But I have the pics so you're being subjected to it.

This one is not even half way done. I have done some work on it since these pics were taken. I've enclosed the ends of the "tubes" along the sides to hide where they attach to the ship (Thank you Shaddix, you were right) and completely redone the whole front end about 5 times. And yet, I'm still not happy with it. Probably going to redo it again and again... and again. Wonder what it's going to actually look like by June? The engine area has also been completely redone and we won't even start on the back top end and what I'm going to do with it. I don't even know myself yet.
UPDATE: 04-23-09
Well, I finally figured out what I'm going to do with this. I tore it completely apart and started from scratch. And I just finished it last night. Maybe I'll throw a few tweaks in here and there but it's basically done. And it looks NOTHING like the original did. Sorry if anyone was really looking forward to seeing it finished. But it's much cooler now.
Fourth Wall Commentary: First, none of what you see here is a finished product. The closest one is the white ship and I still have lots of work to do on that. Belive it or not, the two big ships are not the largest part of this project. I've got at least two builds that are going to be bigger. I hope I have the parts to pull this off. Special thanks goes out here to my pusher at the Lego Store for helping me out with that pick a brick stuff. Thanks man (name withheld on purpose, but he knows who he is)! Wish me luck people, I've got about 2 months left to get this done. Time to sacrifice some neighborhood kids to the Lego gods... virgins are just too valuable.

Aaaah... Brickworld does seem to be capable of bringing out the best in any LEGO enthusiast. Great job on the scorpio mech, can't wait to see the complete version of the "not even half done" MOC! Have fun @ Brickworld mate, hopefully one day we might also fly across the big pond and meet you there :] P.S.: Oh, and regarding those horse sandw... erm, stories - at least you know if it does taste that bad or not... :P |

Oh gee, I didn't know you actually built stuff... The first one definitely reminded me of a certain Emperor's stuff, however it looks great. I also like the scorpion, and having handled an emperor scorp on multiple occasions I can say (even from what little I can see) you nailed the backside, though I don't recall scoprions having scales... I have been doing a ton of building myself, just way to lazy to take pictures till a substantial portion is finished. |

I think you should give the front more shaping and detail, but this is a WIP, so yeah. Anyway, I just saw that your Awsim H4L0 P4g3 is your most popular MOC. How'd that happen?! LOL! |

Update: I put the tank back together, just in case I don't have the time to figure something else out by June. I also redid the greebs on the side of the white ship. I've also made a background for these to be displayed in front of then I started on one of the "big" builds and finished a couple of the other smaller ones... 9 weeks to go. Clock's tickin! |

That and the cannons are about the only thing that are going to make it to the final version. Everything else is gone! (it already is actually... tore it down last night)

Just when I thought I couldn't regret missing another Brickworld anymore than I already do, I find out you're bringing a huge arsenal of moc's! They all look great so far. Hopefully us guys that can't make Brickworld will get to see the finished mocs someday. I'm certainly interested in the two unshown, larger mocs. |

Excellent work Chris. This project is taking shape nicely and I'm excited to see the final form at BW 2009. You have a really great concept here and are backing it up with some amazing building. Heck...even your picture taking is better. ;-) Nice work my friend...nice work. |

well, I see you started some work on the thing we discussed earlier. And it actually looks promising, except the one in the main picture (that one looks a bit off compared to the rest). Too bad you didn't go on the cloud city idea, now I will have to do that one myself... PS: your build is still better than growing your beard, or maybe it could distract the viewer... |

The begining of the ships looks promising. I've always wondered where to use the cloud city landing pad pieces. The only think I don't like so far (can't stand) is the car. The boxy shape just gets to me. But I know you're going to fix it, so I am happy. And about sacrificing neighborhood kids to Daniel Jassim... |

Looking dead sexy there, pal! It's cool to see the progress pics with a bit of the background in 'em, actually, because I'm getting a better sense of scale as a result. Virgo's bigger than I envisioned to be sure. And I love what you've got going on with the grey and red ship. Gonna be awesome to see this as a set! |

!!! I'm so happy to see FOUR great projects by you on the same page ! And especially I'm glad to see your micro-scale ships, they are totally cool (even if I know, it's WIP, blahblah, unfinished blahblah) - The first one is probably my favorite for the moment. In fact I think there's not a lot of things to improve on it (except the side greebles as you said) - The two little MOCs are excellent too, especially the "scorpion" which ROCKs. Good luck with the last one : it's pretty interesting, and huge, the shape is really good ! A great start - I won't go to Brickworld (obviously) and I'm sad that I won't see all those wonders... Keep on the amazing work Chris !!!
