A new idea Sterling Knight and I came up with. 2 people look at a picture and compare their building skills by building the same thing. Sterling and I each built a space ship.
About this creation

Without the white backround.

The engines.

The bottom. You can see the landing gear. It isn't really the part I was working hard on.

The cockpit. I had to go microscale because it was the only way I could use that windshield and have 2 seats in the cockpit.

The original picture compared to mine.
Sterling's creation is not up yet but the link will be here.
We've been working on this idea for a while now. I hope it becomes a big thing because I like the idea a lot. This way we can see how each of us build differently.
If you like the idea, comment so we can see how everyone else feels about it. Also, we need some people to do the next comparison. If someone would like to compare with me, they can. Comment! I want to see what you think!

awesome once i get a good camera i will definetely join your group once made and are you really from ireland because i am also i dont think sterlings going on a field trip or school tour he just wants more time to compete against this skill
I'm not from Ireland. The last name Irish is actually French. I live in the U.S. Sterling is definitely on a field trip because I talked to both him and his friend. There was no reason to lie, because this isn't a contest. It's only for two builders to compare how they build differently. I'll make sure I invite you to the group when it's created. |

Pretty cool! Also, Jonathan, I would be into it, but I don't think I have the time. Could you guys wait until I make the group? I would like for only one comparison to be going on at one time. |

Great job here! I love how you used SNOT to work your way around the cabin! Landing gear looks good, too. Too bad you couldn't have replaced the red with orange, but I know it's fairly scarce. I've been talking to Sterling: he's really hyped about this! Still, I think yours will win. He's gonna try making his figscale, but then he has no good window-piece, so he going to make a skeleton frame, yada yada yada! Anyways, he's out of town for the rest of spring break, so don't anticipate anything. Sweet job, though! Keep up the good work! -Dax |

Nice ship! I like the unique design and the colors are good too. Those engines are pretty sweet. I'm going to be real honest and say I don't like the belly with all that under-plating, but I'm not going to mark off points for that; it can be difficult to cover those. Clearly you have gotten a talent for SNOT. Perhaps you could attempt a SNOTed belly in the future. Still, great ship and I really like the idea of the comparison challenge. Peace - Packie |

I would be willing to partake in a comparison project of this type.
It will be awhile because I was planning on starting a group. Don't worry you'll be the first on the list. I'm glad you liked the idea! |

Sterling's spaceship might not be posted in a while. He said he was going on a field trip, so keep checking back here. I get the link posted as soon as he posts his ship. The time zones messed us up. |

Nice build. It is really close to the original pic. Good job. Oh, and the idea is a good one as well. Hope you get some response to that (Sorry I can't join in. Way too busy with Brickworld stuff). Good luck ~ Chris. |
